Unidentified Parts
« on: August 24, 2016, 11:38:10 »
Inspired by Graham B's post here, I searched through a bag of bits and pieces that I had previously put aside as Not Playmobil.  And I found quite a lot of Playmobil amongst the Made in Chinas, Lego pieces, and general oddities.  With much help from others more knowledgeable than myself, many parts are now identified, but I still can't find out what the following parts are, or where they come from.

tahra suggested that number 1 came from a space set, and number 23 looked like a baby carriage cover, but I still can't find them.  Also that 28 and 29 has string threaded through - but I don't know for what purpose, or in what set.

The rest are a total mystery to me.  I'm sure I've seen number 9 before, but I can't remember where.

6 - seems part of a foldable bench - Birdie figured it out!
23 - the cover of the pram crib in the western farmhouse
26 - used to close bags - not sure if playmobil, but maybe it was used in packaging a set
27 - part of the winch that is usually present in the 4x4 jeeps and such (in front)
28+29 - go with that rope thing, used to secure it

10 - surely an axle (is that the word) for a wagon or trailer (taking wheels on the side)
21 - could it be part of a concertina? (what the clown plays?)
24 - must be part of one of those racers - must take wheels on the sides

6 I think can be attached to the back of a chalk board from the market place. You know, the ones from the fruit and vegetable stalls and such.

16 & 17 go on the side of a school chalk board

There's other stuff I recognise, but I can't put my finger on it... Frustrating  ;D

11 I believe goes with a wheel axle (and turns)

27 is the crank for a wench

20 covers the "tool box" on the side of a trailer or wagon

16/17 are one of the parts that goes with the chalkboards in the school sets

28 and 29 actually go with the climbing rigs for the mountain climbers from the alpine sets (I think)
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Edited my post - the cover is for the crib, not the pram.. And Birdie is right about 6!

Great typo!
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)
