At $3.29 US, how can they produce a toy this good?!
When I received and assembled this one, I couldn't believe the quality. The helmet has a fold-down eye shield. The rifle has a clip (ours came with two) to attach the flashlight. His belt has a pistol holster attached. He wears a (removable) gas mask and bullet proof vest as well as black gloves and boots. And the grappling hook is well made with a handle for him to hold on the opposite end. There is also a small clip on his vest to help hold the grappling hook rope in place over his shoulder. He handily holds all of his own equipment.
This SWAT Officer nicely rounds out an Emergency Management set that I cobbled together in a small glad storage container.
Other members of the set include:
4227 Rescue unit with dogs

4269 Policewoman with thief

7447 Police accessories

plus an old man in a plaid hat for extra interest. The small rectangular lid to the storage container serves as a police van or ambulance, as needed.
This set is played with *very* frequently.

Thanks for this brief review tlc! I am not sure I'd characterise this guy as a SWAT officer, rather an antiterrorist specialist... I already bought ten of them and planning on a customisation...
The rescue dog unit is also great!!

Nice review, tlc, and a sound start to an emergency service collection.

Excellent review tlc! I've been eyeing this special myself! The green uniform is a different take to copy today's true SWAT team outfits! Thank you for sharing this very attractive set!

SWAT Officer is the title on the Playmobil US site.
HF = 19g / $3.29 = 5.78 g/$
Nice review tlc, and a nice little team for accident/emergency scenarios. I got one of these hanging from my hall light. When they appear in my local store I'll be getting a few more to make a full team.
The green tinge comes from the German police system.
-
Many SWAT teams are utilizing military green outfits for camouflage reasons not just German Police.
-
Around here they seem to all be in the black look.
Great set of figures. I held off on getting the SWAT guy from PlaymobilUSA and will pick him up when he hits the stores here. It's a great looking figure
-
Different agencies use different colors. Black, navy blue, & camouflage & dark green are prevalent. A lot of teams have adopted military surplus gear using the digital camo style.
-
Border patrols use alot of green camo too.
-
One of the best PM figures ever, imo.
-
Yeah, i think he's really great. A lot of law enforcement officers of various types are using green in the US now. The sherriff's department aroung here wears dark green, now.
-
still i dont know - its really a thin line that divides such a figure from an army sniper, isnt it?
-
True, many SWAT members are snipers positioned on building tops. It's a way of life here. Local & Federal governments have spent more money than can be counted to supersize SWAT & antiterrorists teams in this country, & they are looking more & more like military everyday.
