Title: White cats?
Post by: Sylvia on October 26, 2010, 18:17:17

Does anyone know if there is a set which contains white domestic cats with no black markings?

I know there's kittens (http://animobil.info/text/3e258fc-1043.html) in several sets but I was wondering about the adult variety.

This is a good question, Sylvia.   :hmm:   I love the cats and kittens too and always have my eye out for them, but I haven't seen any white adult cats.

Nope, the only white cat is the one with the black spots...

I too often wondered, why didn't playmobil never made a totaly white cat?

Just out of curiosity, on the white cat with black spots (like my Skypurr!) are the spots in the plastic or printed on? if so, if it was put into bleach would the black come off?  Mine is packed away at the moment and I can't get to it easily to check it.

Elaine, the spots appear to be painted on, as I could scratch a bit off with my exacto knife.  I don't know if bleach would work to remove the spots or not.   :hmm:

yes the spots are painted on, and there hasn't been a plain white cat.

Here is every adult cat that Playmobil has made except for the sleeping grey one and the sitting black one that came out in the last year, and not counting 1-2-3 ones. Domestic cats were never in any of the color sets either.

Thanks for the replies! :)

The printed bits on the cat could perhaps also be removed with metal polish. I've used this in the past to remove prints or scuffs from figures. It would be tricky because the surface you're working on is small and not flat, and it takes quite a lot of rubbing to remove the paint.

Thanks! I've used my She Devil custom from a few years ago. ;D
