aren't they lovely ?
-
Oh they are so lovely indeed!!!   Thank you Michael!! Now I'll have to get a few of them!!!
Thanks for the info!!!
-
Hi
The first Fairy looks odd to me. The tattered upper edge of her dress makes her look masculine to me and with the fairy wings in the back gives a sort of, ? ? ? well cross dressing look. The print on the dresses is very nice and I will be able to use them in many themes but the first one is just odd in that combination but maybe she is a fairy from SF .
Thanks for sharing them :wow:

I absolutely LOVE the second one!! She's gorgeous! The tattered edge is a little odd on the fairy, but other than that she's beautiful.
-
I love them both!!! What set number is this??? is this 2011? I've never seen them before!
-
Both are great looking. Thanks for sharing. :)9

Ooh! I like the fairy!

A rather butch fairy, you mean.
-
I love them both! but hmm I thought almost nobody liked the fairy theme?? :hmm: :P
will they only be available in Gemany, Michael?
both could be greatly used for roman customs 8-)
thank you for the pictures, i didn't know they existed until now :)
-
At least this one isn't pink!
-

Oh you're wrong Luis! I loved every adult female fairy klicky!!!   I have a small collection of them and these two ladies will be excellent additions!!!
-
Thanks for the pics!! I still cant figure out whether they are both female..
And what about the pirate blister? I have been longing for that
-
I like the first best. Thanks for sharing.
Mad Nick

Thanks for sharing :thanks: These fairies are very cute!
-
A rather butch fairy, you mean.
I can see how she'd be useful for making a custom Amazon, though.
I agree with most folks here -- this is a nice set, very useful for ancient or medieval aristocratic ladies. I'll probably need to get one or two of these sets myself.
I just wish sometimes Playmobil could pick colours other than powder blue and shades of pink. Oh well.
Cheers,
AndrewL

Very cute! But is the first Fairy growing a beard and a mustache? ???

No....they are freckles I guess....but without them, I still perceive "her" as a guy....a male fairy :-\

I have never seen a fairy :hmm:
Maybe we need a side view to see whether it is a female or male

WOW...thanks for the picture!! They are truly lovely!! I like the pirate more, though the redcoat got nice uniform~~~
-
Thank, Michael, though I'm not sure I can take that pirate seriously - there's just something unpirate-like about him. ???
-
I have never seen a fairy :hmm:
   I mean playmo male faries....
I was thinking the same thing: you mean real ones or playmobil ones? ;D
-

I think it's the green shorts. They look a little funny to me.

They do look slightly odd... But they're meant to be knee-length breeches, surely? This guy, like others with the same type of legs, obviously wasn't able to find himself a pair of knee-high socks or stockings. That's not so hard to believe amongst pirates.
What gets me about the pirate is the vaguely camouflage-green effect on his hat. Maybe the dye in the hat has suffered from the sun, sea and salt air he's been out in ;) His vest, body printing and arms will be very useful for customs, though.
Cheers,
AndrewL

Wow, those are wonderful klickies! Thank you for sharing with us Michael! They both look great. :)
Baden
-
Hey it does look sort of like camouflage! Very strange on a pirate. I mean, I don't think pirates spend that much time hiding in bushes. ;)
-
Hi
Yet another cross dresser but now its the pirate 8}
I think it is the combination of the green shorts and no long socks like you mentioned with the very low cut shirt with that frilly scarf :hmm:
The Fairy to me looks masculine with the way the shoulder-less tattered dress accentuates her (his) broad shoulders and now like mentioned it does look like she (he) is growing facial hair

I like the pirate's hat very much, about time we had a new one without a stupid skull design on it. Shame Mr Shorts has nowhere to put his pistol and cutlass. The red soldier looks very smart, when we first saw this blister in pictures I wasn't keen, but seeing him in a better picture I'll be getting half a dozen at least.
The scarcity of females in the Pirate theme, either civilians or pirates, put me in mind of the song "It's a Man's World".
-
cool pirates!
No....they are freckles I guess....
those freckles look like acne :-\ :P
-
Yeah they do! you could use her face for a teenager klicky. Have we had an adult with freckles before? I know some of the red-haired kids have them.
-
When I first saw the first fairy without my reading glasses on I thought the pattern across her dress were chains - maybe she's a punk fairy!
I like the second one though.
Not sure at all about the pirate, he somehow looks out of proportion to me.

Is it just me,
or do the necks on the fairies look longer then a regular playmo neck? ???
-
Hmm... they do sort of. :eh?: Oddly enough I don't have a klicky handy to look at. Maybe it's just because they don't have neck accesssories?
EDIT-----------------------------------
Oops, one of them does. :-[ They do seem long.

   I mean playmo male faries....
hmmm... that sounds weird male faries :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

thanx michal :)

Im not crazy about the new redcoat - he's not that bad, but he's not really an improvement on the previous redcoats is he? The pirate is a rather handsome figure, however. Either way, as a lot of us have been saying ad nauseum, putting the two together in a blister makes little sense for us collectors: I will only buy one or two at most, but it does not make much sense for me to buy more for 'troop-building' when I'll have so many pirates I won't need.
-
are there male fairies??? I've never seen one...
This is the closest To male Fairies I can think off
-
Wow, where are those from? I don't think I've seen them before.

i have only the green with the green face :)

Were I to guess, that is a male faerie. The "skirt" is probably more like a tunic.
The green pirate's legs look like liederhosen IMO. good for customs :D
The red guy I think is a recoat, not pirate.
I like them all.

I agree . They were quite something ( and still are ) when they were released . The golden era for Playmobil the mid/late 90s that was i reckon. The forrest ghost ( if i may call it that way) is actually on eof my favourite klickies of all time and a big contestant for my Avatar as I love trees and nature ( my family and I have planted over 1500 trees over quite a few years though i must say). There is somethign magical about planting a tree and that love and respect for them is portrayed on that very rare and special Klicky

Maybe a side view would help?

Hey guys, I really think this is meant to be a female. What do yooou think? ;D
-
well... she does look like Schwarzenegger from the side
Thanks for the pic Michael!
-
well... she does look like Schwarzenegger from the side
she does look manly..... weird.... I like the wings though.
-
Hi
I really think Playmobil intended this Klicky to be a female. It is just that with the exposed shoulders, that ripped up dress and the freckles really did not go over well. From the side it looks like gym type male bodies as well.
It is like the holly sails in the pirate theme. What kind of pirate would allow holes in his sails. Here I would ask what kind of fairy that has magic dust and all would have a tattered dress and sun exposure issues ?

MAN BOOBS! :0

That's my plan, although I don't like the jagged top of the first fairy.
The pirate blister pack looks great, with half of it useful for army building and the other half useful for parts.
-
Thank, Michael, though I'm not sure I can take that pirate seriously - there's just something unpirate-like about him. ???
It's because the pirate doesn't bring a skull printing on the hat ... ::)
No, I'm totally kidding, please Martin, don't kill me!!! :0

The scarcity of females in the Pirate theme, either civilians or pirates, put me in mind of the song "It's a Man's World".
The idea of the short trousers isn't exactly to wear shorts, but the guys should have white socks till their knees ... That's what comes to my mind, when I think about that period. I guess they've somehow lost the concept. Then it gets a little weird, to me.
When will they get a set 100% right? It musn't be THAT difficult, if they stick to historical description .. Must it? :hmm:
-
I dont like this Klicky , looks weird .. The original Playmo fairies are far better i reckon ... :)
-
From the side it looks like gym type male bodies as well.
i missed this thread, while i was home taking care of my mom. i must agree, there is something not quite right with her side profile when i compare her with cleopatra. cleo is much more delicate in her curves. does this fairy have a plastic or a painted tunic? rasputin i think you are right, she is a san francisco fairy, we have quite a gathering of them for halloween.
thank you michael for posting these photos. i love the second fairy, she is delicate and looks ready to sprinkle fairy dust every where.

She definitely looks like a cross dresser! Why does she have a five day growth?

she does look manly..... weird.... I like the wings though.
I think she's quite a butch looking fairy - my brother in law was dressed as a fairy in a Scout Gang Show years ago! - perhaps I should get this for him ;D

I really do like the dress designs on these fairies. Nice to see something completely different to the usual flowery or starry prints that have been used in the past! :D
I wouldn't say the freckly face spoils the first figure, but it does make her look slightly less feminine. This combined with the less busty torso, pulled-back hairstyle, and chunky bracelets at the wrist all have a cumulative effect when viewed together.
The 4520 figure, which is referred to as a Fairy in the catalogue despite having no wings, also had a freckled face but she had the curvy body mold and pink colour scheme which saved her from looking too butch. :)
