« Last post by Pachucobrc on April 02, 2024, 17:18:49 »
Hi to everywone!!! i'm Gastón, from the Patagonia Argentina, living right now in the coast of Nayarit Mexico.
I have two big collections one in Arg and the other here in MX.
I just to play when i was a kid with playmobil but not too much consider (i usualy use more dakkis, mis ladrillos, lego and meccano,in that order) As a gronw up and with nephews and nieces , i share with them lego playmobil, but the thing with pb, was the kit incomplete (of course we loose a lot of parts, or brake or the little drawf steels or who know) so i star to re build or re unite those missing peces or making it from plastic parts and give it form or 3d modeling and print,...
The think is i really like it, moustly the old castles,  old airplaines big, vans, ships, old pirate ship 80s
Well i want at some point do my own models as, Hercules plaine,  other plaines as mirage, focker, make a long pirate ship long as were 4 of themp united, also make my own. start trek vessel, with better ratio aspect, and so...thank for having me here... i hope this messege wasn't to long

How-To / International purchasing from the US???
« Last post by stacigiroux on April 02, 2024, 14:39:16 »
Hello friends!

My apologies if this is the wrong category for this question, but I'm trying to figure out how I can avoid using eBay or Amazon if there's a more efficient/less expensive way to procure sets that are exclusively available outside the United States? I specifically am looking for the Wiltopia North American Animals Set (71403) and it's currently only available for $39.99 on Amazon, which I'm positive is not the retail going price from Playmobil, but it doesn't appear that Playmobil is planning on having it available for sale here?  :'(

I'm also curious if anyone has ever made a "Playmo Pal" pen-pal style friend on this forum who could purchase some of the setsnot available to them in the US and then ship them in a larger batch overseas to cut down on shipping? I'd just be interested in doing so if that's the case!  My vision is that I would pay cost and shipping through PayPal or something, and then my fellow International Playmo buddy would ship out some of these sets once they obtained my "order".

Please let me know if I'm off my rocker, being way too cheap or entitled! I just have no idea if this is a reasonable request or not, but Playmobil has officially made me less of a rational person in general because I have a serious addiction problem.  ::)

I did thanks but if I was going for something similar then I'd just make something out of light wood. I almost bought a blue circus several years ago to get that bit and the two open steck walls it comes with but didn't.
No I mean if they're going to pump for nostalgia value and more high end collectables like vehicles with chromed parts then they could easily do that piece again given they've already re-released the debtor's tower (sans bell) twice now.

Are those open steck walls different sizes to the standard ones?

On the one hand, I would expect a bell like that to be incredibly cheap to manufacture, but on the other hand I think the difference it would make to sales to be minimal.

I'm sure the tower bell 30801440 in 3445 is the same as the bell in the red, blue and orange Circuses, 3553, 3510 and 3194x respectively, which may be easier to find. But I expect you knew that!

Yep, please keep sharing them. Playmobil is iconic and finds its way into real life hairstyles, etc., even when the toys are not being discussed!

Dang that's a hard paywall too, it defeated all the usual tricks for bypassing it.  :( The gallery of some of his rarities is visible though https://www.nn.de/kultur/sammler-wahnsinn-dieser-playmobil-fan-aus-furth-hat-figuren-die-kein-anderer-hat-1.14166789

Thanks for that link, Maccy!
Apart from being underwhelmed at his excitement over finding two keychain figures in one bag  8}, I have to say his 'mouthless' klicky is not what it appears to be, IMO. The first klickies (with plain soles to their feet) had printed-on faces and its not uncommon to find them where the mouth or eyes are partially or completely worn off. I may be wrong and there may have been some prototype klickies with no mouths, but I'm not sure you could distinguish these from ones where the mouth has got rubbed off.
