Looks fine. Will be getting if the price is reasonable (~$35 CDN) otherwise I'll wait for the red coat version next year. Especially since those pirates are too similar to pirates we already have.

It certainly isn't a great ship as it stands, but a good basis for custom work.

  although i am a big pirate theme fan and collector i have to confee that sometimes i just hate playmobil when they come with this black and red schemes.
  i don't know if there is a right word to the opposite of sophisticated - but this set surely demonstrates it.
  and what were they thinking - putting that "slug" in the bow.
  i can't find this set anywhere - is it toys r' us or target exclusive?

I've looked at this ship again... and I've concluded that someone probably built it with system X-parts from a fire-department station.

For sure, buying this set, and the soldier bastion alike, for accessories or parts isn't a good idea ; they're pretty simple and cheap ones. But a new hull type is anyway a good news for us ships collectors, and we can hope Geobra won't wait to much before releasing some with nicer colours.

Probably that if you can't put a figurehead under the bowsprit, why not put it over it ?

Thanks for the information, Customizer!  I'm happy to see this ship as a complement to the upcoming 5140.  I'll be buying one, as it can be made into a good looking ship.
