Do all sets have stickers in multiple languages?
« on: October 02, 2010, 12:37:13 »
I have been looking at ebay and have noticed that German sets (for example) have German words on the sets, ie, Polizei. Does each set come with sticker which can be applied in a number of Languages, ie, would a police station have "Police" and "Polizei" on stickers in the box or are sets country specific in this regard?

Yes and No is the answer.  Taking police as an example, the police vehicles are produced in two different forms - one with "polizei" on and an international version with "police" on.  At one time, the colours of the cars were different (green and white for Germany and blue and white for the international version) but the practice of two versions continues even though the colours are the same.

With buildings such as the police and fire stations, there is a sheet of stickers with appropriate names on, e.g Fire Department, Feuerwehr (but sadly, not Fire Station or Fire Brigade).
