Double Bakery & House
« Reply #60 on: September 08, 2016, 01:22:39 »
Continuing to expand my Steck collection, this is 2 Bakeries combined with pieces from House with Barn. I have 3 more Steck buildings waiting to be opened, & I'm not done acquiring yet. Castles will be next after a few more houses.

Steck is soooo addictive. I just built my castle for my Halloween diorama and still have lots of parts left, and yet...I am about to wipe out at least one eBay seller of certain loose parts to get my hands on some more. I almost ran out of that part, I need 15 more at least thinks I. :D

6682

A collector from France asked for pictures of the 6682 box, as he says this is a different design from what is in Europe.

Thanks for the pics.. I didn't realize the backs there were like that... Not an improvement.

I always find those boxes... silly. They seem to belong to a cheap toy, not playmobil, with all the stuff.. Unfortunately, "ours" tend to get crowded now too..

At least that one doesn't show "instructions" for play! :P

5101 Mammoth Skeleton Tent
« Reply #66 on: September 12, 2016, 01:16:37 »
This is one of the presents from my birthday in July which I have just now opened.  :) The skeleton sans tent is fairly wonderful but it even kinda works with the skin over the full skeleton as well. I could picture an army of armed cavemen riding skeletons....

My partner's mother has been on life-support this past week in UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. Things have been rough all week, but on Friday I had a chance to leave the hospital & visit a Pittsburgh toy store, S.W. Randall; there are 3 of these stores in Pittsburgh, & I went to the one closest to hospital. The store is actually in a very nice section of town, despite the presence of the derelict in the picture. Sadly, there was only a little Playmobil, but for the sake of being there, I purchased 5294 Architect with Planning Table. (There was thick dust on the box.) The clerk, however, told me the other two stores had more Playmobil, so perhaps I'll get the chance to find out.

We actually walked past the store because I thought it was a lingerie shop; those are just Hallowe'en costumes hanging in the window.
