Michela's Medieval Playmobil

Michela06:
Hi everyone! :)

I have finally managed to get my hands on some old photos of my playmobils and I am so happy to share them!  :-[ At the moment the whole sets are at my grandaparent's house in the country (I do not have enough space in my own town home) and we are renovating the house but the idea is to have a place to permanently display all of them as there would be enough space to do so there :) That's also because in the years we have added some newer sets and figures that you won't see in these photos as they are older. In any case, most of the sets dates back to my childhood years in the '90  :-[

My absolute joy is the huge castle! Best Christmas gift ever =D It's complete and it is still in good conditions despite all the years. You see that I have my king and queen, I usually placed them there because it seemed to fit somehow. In the first floor, I used to put the table - in the photo there are two items that are not originally playmo but when I was a child I used to keep them there because they did not look that bad (the bread is actullay from Lego but it was big enough to work fine with playmo). On the second floor I always put the bedroom: the furniture actually comes from another medieval set with a tent.

I also have the magician tower and the assault tower, which were great to play with. :) I had also my own favourite figures, in particular I used to have my personal Robin Hood and Lady Marian  :P

some newer sets that have been added in more recent years, mainly the one released for the 40th anniversary of playmobil and many lady figures from the Figures (mainly the one that could work in medieval settings). Some days ago I bought from playmobil the medieval houses that they have just been released in the Plus Catalogue in order to add them to the collection! Even though some things do not look that medieval (i.e. there's a odd bed) but I will work around that :)

Thanks for reading and I hope to be able to add some new stuff soon! :)

P.S. you may spot a couple of victorian figures in the pics...I have the wedding carriage for some random reasons (I liked it even though I hated the fact that it was pink). In any case being a girl loving medieval castle and knights, I used to add some princesses to make it more girly (at the time there wasn't the princess castle and in any case it is too much girly and pinkish for my taste!)

Pynedor:
Those are some fantastic classic sets! The new houses should fit with them nicely. Thanks for sharing. :)

Tiermann:
Great photos!  The Steck style castles are my favorite . Good luck on the remodel. I moved in 2020 and am still moving around boxes trying to make an optimal space.

That is an amazing thing with playmobil. It all fits together (or used to)..

That's a lego bread?! I recently bought two, but I had no idea it was lego. I am not a purist (except creatures!) - the Queens favorite bread is from Sylvanian Families - they have AMAZING food items, like the single bananas (one peeled), way before playmo, grapes, oranges, tomatos.. you know, single, not in a bunch only fit for a table or tray.

Looking forward to more pics :)

And good luck with the renovations. A space to display ALL of it would be a dream. But I'd need the stupid euromillion balls to cooperate... ::)

playmofire:
