Hi everyone! My name is Ben and I will share from now on my collection with you.
It is a perfect timing as I just made a Novelmore diorama on the Expo in Roeselare Belgium. When I was young I had a lot of Playmobil, but in 2013 I sold everything... My Playmobil collection started in 2018 and today I have 2512 figures. I will share some of my purchases and the growing of my collection. I collect the Knights, Novelmore, History, Ayuma and Zoo themes, Magic themes and also licences like Volkswagen, Dragons and Heidi. I often share pictures of my collection on Instagram too: Speedybenplaymo.
I will also share the part numbers of unknown parts (till now) that I found out about :)
First I will start with that. As I bought a lot of Griffon Knights of the Fi?ures Series 19, there was a body (30634342) and arm (30282810) missing so I have those part numbers, just like the legs of the minstrel (30647836).
This made it possible to make some customs ;D

Monday a DS order arrived with the snake and the peacock of AOA Ayuma.
The snake really is enormous! It has also a lot of "thorns" and the peacock has a really nice print

Well, that's it for now :)
-
Hi Ben,
Your custom chap looks very dapper.
I like the snake -- thinking it could double up as a Harry Potter basilisk..
-
That's a great picture of the Griffon-knight-torso guy, Ben.
Presumably you requested replacements for the missing parts from your Series 19 figures and picked up the part numbers from the invoice sheet when they arrived? If you email the numbers to Heather at playmodb@gmail.org, she will surely include them in the DB (or she may see them on here and pick them up that way).
2512 klickies! That's impressive!
-
Very nice, Thanks for sharing these. Does the snake have the wire or metal insert so it can be bent into different shapes? They had the large red one before that was that way.
-
Thanks for sharing :)
That snake is GORGEOUS!
-
Welcome Ben! I was in Roeselare last Sunday and saw your diorama, it was the first time I saw the Novelmore castles in real life, I have to say they are much bigger then I expected! Now I'm curious of your whole collection, over 2500 klickies... That's a lot! But I guess since you're collecting knights, you'll have many duplicates?
I didn't know they sell the legs, arms and torsos separately now as well... That must be a recent change?

Indeed!!
And thank you guys!

Yesterday I have put my 2 Novelmore castles together as 1 big castle...

...but the table was too small :-[ so I still have some spare parts left.

I watched the whole Novelmore series again yesterday and I can't wait for March 2022 to have that wonderfull dragon!!
Next week the extra equipment of my skeletons should arrive and than I will take some pictures of my Sal'ahari Sands ;D

Yes I do have many duplicates for my Novelmore, griffon knights, fleur-de-lis, skeleton and orcs army.
I will post more pictures of my collection in the net days/weeks

I still hope that Playmobil :playmo: will release some Novelmore citizens as duopack or special plus or Playmobil plus set
And I hope that there will be a Novelmore mystery boxes series 2! Hopefully with citizens, skeletons, Violet Vale, Novelmore and Burnham Raiders characters! Like Scribbles and Sir William Keene.
My Burnham Raiders castle is too small for all of the knights...
So, here is the biggest part of the figures

I assume you noticed that the Novelmore Advent Calendar for this year has castle wall parts in it? It's a bigger and more expensive one because of that but useful if you have that castle series. I got the Lava large castle but haven't gotten the main Novelmore one.
-
Thanks for the pics!
I love the look of the dark Novelmore castle, but will not get it, since it's system WHY (wallet rejoices). It looks beautiful though.
And I also love the klickys, generally (except the "gear" thing printed all over them) - gorgeous colors.
Looking forward to more pics!
I did a different skeleton army with a couple of surprise skulls and some extra parts...

As far as I know the Novelmore castles are system X (at least the main walls)... So your wallet might reconsider it...
Here's the manual: http://playmobil.a.bigcontent.io/v1/static/70220_buildinginstruction

No, the recent castles (since the first ones, and even those...) have system X bits, but are ,imo, basically system WHY, since they aren't really versatile. I hate those stupid walls - with the battlements included to me they are basically useless, since there's nothing else you can do with them :(
The large dark tower is especially gorgeous... but system WHY...
-
If I am correct, "System WHY" is not a term used by Geobra, but invented by Collectors (tahra, probably!), in parody of 'System X,' as a protest about building parts which can only be combined with parts from the same set, so there is little or no scope for creating your own buildings with them. They are sometimes joined with yellow and red connectors, as in System X buildings.
For anyone unfamiliar with English, the letter Y is pronounced the same as the word 'why,' so it's a clever parody! Why not produce more versatile pieces?

I am 99% almost sure it wasn't me! :-[
But very fitting :(

My newest buys of Ayuma. The big tree is really really awesome. I watch the series every week and it is nice to recognise the sets in my collection!
I will post the coming days more pictures of my diorama's at home ;D

Great sets there, quite a few of those figures series knights you have. Interesting to see them massed like that.

:)
Thanks for sharing - that tree is indeed gorgeous!

Actually, it was Martin Milner who coined the term, but you embraced it enthusiastically, tahra! Here's your post from 10 years ago :) (https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=9033.msg164223;topicseen#msg164223)

Thank you for this piece of history!
I was quite sure it wasn't my idea. But it's PERFECT.
(ah, I said that.. didn't remember :P )
-
Thanks for that info., Indianna. I will give Martin the credit he deserves in future!
-
No worries, Graham - that was slightly before your time so you probably wouldn't have remembered the origin. :)
I'm reminded that there is so much interesting history in the threads here at PlaymoFriends. If I'm looking to kill some time I like to go back to the beginning of a thread and read through to the present day - it's a nice way to see some old friends, too. :yup:

The bowl has a white spot printed on it and I guess it's a coin in the middle :)

No, I feel the bags and that store had 2 cases of the boys and girls series so I filled up a case with Moors and Walkures ;D

Nice! I've been having trouble finding many stores with them in stock lately, but that is definitely the best strategy. <*)

Awesome pics

Those are some impressive armies.

Thank all of you!

Thank you! Unfortunately no, it is not my zebra, I got to use it for the diorama, but I do think the zebra is goureous!
-
Great display :)
Love the big zebra and the birdie too
... where is that novelmore sail from? (my poor old head :( ) - I tried to get the fireship sail from parts, but at least then it came up as not available :(
-
Great diorama!!

I like the custom figures! That Novelmore sail is cool too. :)

Thank you!!!

So many lovely animals in your diorama! It's nice that the giant zebra was there to accompany them, and the bird is a great find (I didn't know they existed in XL).
Is it just me or does the green floral wallpaper go really well with the orcs?
-
Tried customising with the head of the Star Trek keychain :-[
Very happy with the result ;D

I got also the new Ayuma magazine figure and soul animal, they are so beautiful :woohoo:

March is a very busy month with a lot of releases in the subjects I am interested in ;D
For now I only got me 2 of the Ayuma sets, the pegicorn and the one which is made out of steck!
-
Those are great! Do those rocks and that tree trunk have Steck connectors? Those would be new pieces I think?
-
The Ayuma sets are beautiful :)
Love the elf with spock's head, except for the metal thing on top :( Can't believe they ruined that hair...
Might get one myself, since I didn't manage to get my hands on any yet...

Yes! It's unusual to see packaging without theme markings.

Hadn't noticed that... but it's gorgeous.
The bell-less belltower background reminds me of a place we were in during the pcc tour in Nuremberg...
