Hello everyone,
PFD has finally taken delivery of its new Cargo trailer. The trailer will be used to haul Hazmat equipment.
-
I've managed to use all the left over parts from the off-road racing trailer. The rest were used in a previous custom.
-
The hinges that hold the rear door on are actually Lego's. I hate to admit I used Lego's... :-[
The parts that hold the door closed are from the farm trailers.
-
I made the side door out of a portable toilet. :shhhh:
-
Alright, that's it. I hope you like it.
Now I have to work on getting all of the equipment inside it.

Excellent design and workmanship, Ben, and eco-friendly in its purpose and its build using so many spare parts. Great work; look forward to see it kitted out and in action.
-
Holy cow Ben, that trailer looks big enough to live in! Great job on the construction and thanks for letting us know where the parts and bits came from, I find it helpful to know where other people find their bits. Look forward to seeing it geared up.

Nice work Ben! It looks great!

Excellent custom HAZ MAT trailer, Ben! It definitely looks large enough! Are you going to have showers from the 3969 bathroom set for decon ?
-
Good work.
I like your customs.
-
Hey, thanks everyone for the comments. I'm thinking about finding pieces to mount decon equipment on the outside now. I just have to find the parts...

WOW! Graet Costum!
-
Wow! Very well done :wow:
Hope you find all the extra parts you need.
That is a great looking red truck pulling the trailer as well :yup:
Best regards,
Jimbo

Hello Ben,
Sorry for the delay in replying to your thread. You have certainly become a master at working with plastic card :wow:. I know only too well how hard this sort of work is having tried myself. Its not something that I really got my head round, the measuring side of things used to catch me out and I would usually end up with one side bigger than the other ! I really can't wait to see the finished result, I have a few bits and peices that you might be interested in seeing (I will try and get those pictures I promised you).

I’d really like to see the eventual outfitting… A bit on the wild side, but there’s a new deep-sea hardsuit that might be a “helpful” piece of kit.
-
Hey Gents,
Thank you all again for the comments.
Jimbo - Thanks for taking a look at the truck, painting that took more time than the trailer... :-\
Tim - I'm looking forward to these pictures. Thanks for the great comments.
Andy - I have looked into maybe using that for the bomb squad, believe it or not.

Great Trailer. I looks a lot like the trailers you would see on the interstate that Scout Troops would use for their gear or people would haul their ATVs in.

Awesome trailer!
