I heard a short time ago that Walter Turner (waltstrains) passed away on the night of Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th, January; he had been in ill health for some time and will be much missed by the Playmobil community to many of whom he was Mr Playmobil Trains.

That's sad to hear, he we a great asset to the community.

I'm sorry to hear this. I cannot claim to have known him but he reached out to me once on a train-related matter, which was a nice thing to do. Since then I have bookmarked his webpage:

If possible, pass my condolences to his nearest and dearest. He was a gentleman, sorry for your loss.

:'( I didn't really know him, but his name is probably familiar to most collectors.
A big loss for all the community.

Condolences to his family and friends. He was a valuable resource and will be missed.

Rest In Peace

Same for me, a familiar name. My condoleances to those who knew him personally.

This is certainly quite sad news.
