I accidently came on the idea when I got this set

The ejection-seat is entirely made of parts that came with this boat...

The parachute has still do be deployed automatically  ;)
Normally a pilot ejects from a jet with his seat by the ignition of 1 or 2 small rockets, then a few seconds later the seat separates from the pilot and his chute gets deployed.

Yep, if the chute deployed too quickly, it would get tangled or punctured by debris. There's a pretty good lag time.
