when i came home today a package marked deutsche post was sitting on my porch and i could hardly wait to get in, take my dog out for a walk and come back to open my package. i love sinterklaas on the horse with his "long" red cloak. i must confess, usually i can wait the year for new sets to arrive in the states, but i did not want to take a chance on this one as it might not be (probably won't be) available here. thank you playmoed for sending me the package. kaethe

oh my goodness, i had no idea. he actually sent me two sets, as the shipping would be the same and when i told him that i was going to open one set and throw away the box, we decided not to even ship the second box.

They are, some shops already have them. I ordered mine from Collishop (Colruyt) which is now connected with the Dreamland stores. It's supposedly being delivered within 6 weeks :-\ but I did get a discount so I'm fine with it. (I originally wanted to wait til Sinterklaas to buy this set ;D )
I am intrigued though that Playmobil went with a completely Dutch name. Even on the German website it's written in Dutch. :lol:

Mah. I went to every Bart Smit in town (and the one in Brugge) and to a couple of Blokkers but still didn't see it anywhere - distribution seems to be bad here ::)
However I did manage to find (and buy) the last Roman special from a Blokker store - they haven't been available in Malta for two years at the very least!

Sorry to be nitpicking (I am a great fan and practitioner of Sinterklaas), but Sinterklaas has nothing to do with Christmas. The closeness of both celebrations is only a coincidence, although Santaclaus is hugely inspired by Sinterklaas.
It is an awesome set and I will surely get one or more, as soon as I am back from my vacation. (Tomorrow we will enter Switserland, so more chances to buy playmo!!!)
