That final castle is looks almost like a cathedral, Rapunzel. Great stuff, you must have a massive stock of Steck parts to create these wonderful structures.
I'm trying to imagine how these would look if you were trying to use System-X. First off of course there'd be a lot of annoying empty holes on the outside, spoiling the overall look.
The roofs would be impossible I think, because Playmobil haven't provided enough roof parts yet (as far as I know), and there are no System-X round towers.
Hopefully these things will come in time, and in a few years System-X will offer the same degree of freedom to build custom designs.

That happens when two collectors join their collection :-[ :-[
The tought building NotreDame in system-X crossed my mind too
Given Steck is Roman and System-X is Ghotic
Sad part , as you mentioned , there are not enough parts available
and in white , it would look "beurk " (and is a bit expensive to paint all those parts) ;)
am nuts but not THAT crazy ;)
tough ............ if could find good sponser ???? ;) ;D

These look fantastic!
Maybe Quasimodo needs that Gypsy woman?

any news on this subject macgayver? ???
more pictures? ???
i am sad for the lack of a baloon - which, by the way, would be a great idea for a new playmobil set. 0)
inspiration could come from a lot of models : from the 1700's portuguese one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartolomeu_de_Gusm%C3%A3o) that no-one knows about (it was, i think, the first one) to the more modern ones. :)

Thing is , in the book we try to follow there is no Balloontrip
still............... we do have one
(http://www.macgayverplaymobil.be/0000%2080%20round%20world/Balloonfahrt.jpg)
it is a wooden baloon that could fit
You'll have to persuade my Rapunzel to use it ;)
-
Wow! very, very pretty. I can't wait to see the full display with all the things you've shown us in the past!
-
VERY MARVELLOUS CUSTOM-WORK!!

:wow: :wow: :wow:

fantastic baloon macgayver. :wow:
and a fantastic indian "ambience" too.
it could go very well with patrick o'brien's novel "h.m.s. surprise" (from the "master and commander" series) that i am reading now.
great work. :yup:
thank you for showing it. :)

Totally remarkable Macgayver, & Rapunzel :wow:! Everything looks awesome :)9! Excellent work ! I just wish my wife enjoyed Playmobil as much as I do, but I'm a lonely collector :(!
-
The sails on your Chinese ship are wonderful, Macgaver!
Every time I visit this thread, I click on your link to see your beautiful Indian display. Your SystemX buildings are fantastic, Macgayver!
Macgayver, when you put the SystemX pieces together, it's very easy to see that Playmobil originally intended this to be an Arabian Nights theme and not a Fairy Tale castle.
Macgayver, thank you, once again, for sharing your magic with us.
All the best,
Richard
-
Wow what a great looking boat . I just love the fact you used the old brown boat with bright red sails and the white strings . I just wish Playmobil had such color tone keenness . The boat is simple perfect and I have been wondering how one might make a Junk now that the Asian blister pack is here . Thanks for sharing once again your masterpieces
-
Awesome Chinese junk! :wow: :wow: :wow:.
Mr. Macgayver, you are the Playmo Master Shipwright!
Your other creations are excellent as well!
Amazed,
Jimbo
-
Aiee! How do you keep coming up with these!! ??? The junk is wonderful, I must confess I bought a Mega Blocks Junk from the POTC series because I thought "Who on earth is going to make a chinese junk in this scale!". Beautiful work macgayver and Rapunzel, dare I ask for a few hints as to its construction? Thank you again.
