Title: 5203 Fi?ures Boys Case
Post by: Ace on July 27, 2011, 15:45:07
Last night, a case of Boys Fi?ures arrived that I had preordered in June! The display case was buried under lots of packing pellets:

The display case was sort of squished, but the 48 foil bags were in perfect condition:
Inside of every bag, of course, was a dissasembled Klickey. They could pop apart with a tug on the head and go back together easily.
Each bag had some general instructions and a checklist folded up inside:

The only mistakes made in all 48 bags was an extra beard on one Uncle Sam and a strange hand on a Zorro:

It seemed similar to a mistake on a pirate displayed on Playkingdoms:

Those were they only mistakes, and they were probably because the Klickey weren’t assembled, rather they were just poured into the bags.
Here are the different Fi?ures:

wow congratz! Are you gonna try to mix parts up?

Now that I see them all.... don't you think the colors on the boys series are kinda dull?.... lots of black, grey and white.  :hmm:

Ace, Congratulations! You were smart to order a case because these are still so rare in the US. What kind of toy store did you order them through?
Cool figures, aren't they! Pgal

Tonguello, I've already made an Uncle Sam band and an Italian Pizza Chef/Boxer  :)! I agree that the colors arn't very bright, but at least they're not Fisher Price. Also, I think that because the colors all are similar, they look good when the pieces are mixed, like on this mixed boxer:

Yes, the green knights and the blue knight are some of my favorites, too. The metallic armor on the blue knight is really beautiful :yup:!

Baron Marshall, thanks for the info! It looks like The Corner Toy Store has quite a good selection of Playmobil. Have your Fi?ures arrived yet?

I really agree  :yup:. The figures don't come flying apart like they do when they're taken apart with a screwdriver.   By the way, did you notice the triangle on the back of the Fi?ures' heads? It must be to distinguish them from regular Klickeys and to show that you pull up on the head to dismantle them.

Ace,
It is interesting to see the prices of the individual figures at toywiz.com. The most expensive are the witch (12USD), the red/blue knight and the executioner (8USD). Not sure why.

I would have priced the guitar player (6USD) and the singer (5USD) much higher than the others. And I am sure that the knight addicts would have priced those way above the others!

It looks as if their prices are quite reasonable....thoiugh I did not check their shipping rates. If you want to be surprised by what is in the bag, you pay less than if you want to know for sure what you are getting. Interesting!

Cheers, Pgal

Playmogal, the pricing is very interesting. I think the witch and the blue knight are the most because they have detailed printing, in the case of the witch, and special plastic, in the case of the knight's armor. Still, I'm not sure.
