It sounds like we are both in the same stage of layout building! I am not going to completely finish the basement, but I am going to frame a couple of walls and run some additional lighting. Thanks for sharing those! Looks good so far. Great idea to incorporate a cave into the design.

My only concern would be that slope, it does seem a bit steep. (I assume you cut the basic shape out from a 4'x8' sheet of plywood, so I am estimating the length of the slope.) A locomotive could maybe make it up that hill, but it will severely cut down on how many cars it can pull.

I don't know about the slope since I've no experience with Playmo trains, but I'm impressed with what you've built so far. Looks like you've really thrown yourself into this project with enthusiasm. :yup:

And your daughter is beautiful too. Love the puddle pics! :)
