8} okay so i'm a 31 yearold mom of 2 and have a playmobil addiction! Ibegan collecting 3 years ago. i am conjuring up ideas to go into motion, very shortly i hope, for a 15x15 foot playmobil room for my little girl. okay for me.
i have modern life mostly, houses/additions, grocery store, then i have the recently retired farm. many add-ons cars boats ...i will be posting photos. eventually i wish to make a website of the process and progression of it.
i am starting by basing the board around a mountain on which the farm will be seated with a pond that empties into a stream that then waterfalls into a lake.
any suggestions would be great!

With those great ideas and you want suggestions? ;D
Welcome from the UK!
Looking forward to seeing your photos and your playroom grow.

Hi, missangel!
Thanks for joining PlaymoFriends! It's great to have you here. :D
I started collecting primarily for my children about 5 years ago, but after a short time started buying Playmobil for myself to "play" with too. ;) It's a wonderful toy. :yup:
Your project sounds exciting! Can't wait to see some photos! 8-)

Howdy and welcome from Arizona, Missangel! (I'm 62)

Welcome from Oregon!
I look forward to seeing more of your project. Do you have the lakeside cabin set? If not they still offer the cabin as an add-on. Unless of course you want to put an Indian village there. Or possibly the seaport. :D It's fun to find people with the same interests, but it can be dangerous too. Nobody here is going to try and stop you from getting out of hand. :)

Everyone wants to see your junk. If it is Playmo Junk we want to see it.

Welcome aboard Missangel! Good to have you here!
Step one in my project... CLEAN OUT the basement!!!! and frame out the walls.!!
It sounds like we are both in the same stage of layout building! I am not going to completely finish the basement, but I am going to frame a couple of walls and run some additional lighting. And I do plan on posting photos of my junk, not because anyone wants to see the junk, but because maybe they love "before and after" pictures as much as I do! :)

okay here's the link to pictures... they are too large to post in the gallery and i'm not figuring out YET how to reduce thier size.
so far these are the pics of the mountain.... enjoy

Thanks for sharing those! Looks good so far. Great idea to incorporate a cave into the design.
My only concern would be that slope, it does seem a bit steep. (I assume you cut the basic shape out from a 4'x8' sheet of plywood, so I am estimating the length of the slope.) A locomotive could maybe make it up that hill, but it will severely cut down on how many cars it can pull.
-
Thanks for the link, missangel! :)
I don't know about the slope since I've no experience with Playmo trains, but I'm impressed with what you've built so far. Looks like you've really thrown yourself into this project with enthusiasm. :yup:
And your daughter is beautiful too. Love the puddle pics! :)

whoops! the playmo farm is going at the top.... and the slope is for the cars/trucks 8}

Ok, cool! :D I totally misunderstood, since you had asked about slope... Thanks for straightening me out!
