Customising klickies using original parts along with parts from Fi?ures

Hi everyone.
I have just purchased my first "Fi?ure" bag (Series 23) and noticed that is has a nice new internal frame/chassis, the grey one.
I decided to have a go at some customising and used an old original body, arms and legs but using the new grey Fi?ures grey chassis. When I say original I mean non Fi?ures parts.
Everything connected together fine and the legs and arms seemed to fit much better and weren't all floppy like they usually are. Maybe something to do with the new grey chassis?
I decided to try a different head and this is when I was unsure so stopped. It seemed to meet some resistance when I tried to push it into the figure. The head that came in the Fi?ure bag fits in fine and removes fine. Looking closer I noticed that the neck part from an original figure seems fatter. Maybe its just my eye sight?
Is it OK to use non Fi?ures heads in the Fi?ures grey chassis, or should only Fi?ures heads be used in the Fi?ures chassis? I didn't want to force the head in and crack the chassis.
Also while on the subject does anyone know the part number for the new grey Fi?ures chassis so I can try and order some more. If not does anyone know where I can buy some?

The normal heads and the heads that come with Fi?ures sets are different. Just as you noticed, the bottom parts are shaped differently; this is so that the Fi?ures heads can be easily removed.

That should be fine, but you won't be able to remove the head as easily as you could remove one of the Fi?ures heads.

The part number for the grey "female" frame/skeleton (the one included with most of the Fi?ures figures) is 30 23 2912, and the part number for the darker grey "male" frame/skeleton (the one included with some Fi?ures figures that require a higher arched part to allow the legs to move without interference with the frame/skeleton) is 30 24 9222.

Thanks for this. I didn't know there was two types. I will pickup a female bag this weekend and take a look. Are they easy to tell apart? The one I got was a Viking.

Yes, they look noticeably different. Most of the Fi?ures figures (both boys and girls) come with the "female" version. The Viking figure you got probably came with the "female" version. The "male" version generally only comes with Fi?ures figures that require it (like those that come with legs with sandals), but the "female" version works well with almost all parts.

Fi?ure heads have a triangle on the back of them making them easy to identify. They have to be used with the grey frames for a good fit. All the other fi?ure parts are the same as regular playmobil.
The female frames are designed to go on torsos with wider hips. The hips aren't actually wider, they have narrower waists so the female frames are narrower but flare out at the bottom.
Female frames will fit inside male torsos but male frames only fit male torsos.
Eventually you'll come across different body types which are not compatible with each other, this is a standard playmobil thing. You can read about that here:

Earlier klickys (playmobil dolls) had frames that were tight so they didn't stoop and their arms would stay sticking out even holding something. Over the last few years it's not unusual to get klickys with loose arms and which wont stand up straight well.
