I have this fishing trawler , its actually a very nice ship and back in teh 80s when i got was very ' fresh' design with the orange detailing etc . I am certain the one on the picture is simply painted , perhaps with a playmo marker . i have some and used them in the 80s to paint a few bit and that colour is a good reminder of the brown ' wood' colour ... Very impressive these playmo markers they were
As for the circuitry i am certain also it is a bespoke design , playmobil has never created anytrhing as such from what i know anyway....
I used to combine this ship with the deep sea diver ( the first one ) , it was awesome play back then !!!!

This guy transformed the regular playmo cutter into a rc-boat with normal circuitry as is used in modelling.
Kinda neat he has done this and very nicely too.

Since this is not a review of the boat, and more like a question about it, I'll move it to the "What is this???"

no one will have to go through all this work now that geobra is releasing the RC underwater motor that should clip on to the tab on the bottom of all boats.
