Yeah, even if you get two or three real applicants a day, it will probably be less work than going through stacks of phonies. Sounds like it'll work!

I've just looked up what a bot is on wikipedia and it might as well be in another language!  I just don't understand what they do and why  :-[

However in view of the nuisance they cause, this new system seems much better Sylvia, hope it gives you less trouble.

I had forgotten that disabling registration does not remove the "Register" page for guests browsing the forum. It just causes an error message to appear - not good because that turns prospective members away! :o

I've fixed this as best I can by adding a link there to the page with information on how to join. 8}
