Hahahaha! What a funny and informative review! This is hilarious with you guys jumping into the air packets and all over the box and set! Love your review and the set, Pgal

I loved your presentation and I love the store with awning! I must get a couple of these soon. When I do, I plan to get the new pet shop interior to put inside one of them. A few of these buildings will help offset all of my 7687 corner store buildings. I like the appearance of this building a lot more.
Thanks for the great review!
-
I live the way you have done your review!
I like this set too. :)
-
A wonderful review. I loved it!
Well done.
-
Very clever review!! Your klickies look so happy!!
-
What an awesome review! Very well done, and funny! Those awnings do look a little low, but it's a good-looking little building. Can't wait to see it become an art gallery or coffe shop!
Btw, the reason two wall sections are missing is because they come with the shop sets, like the 7456 - Bakery Interior (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=7456) or 7496 - Flower Shop Interior (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=7496).
-
Excellent review! It looks like a good set and the best of these shop set add-ons they've done so far. I'm sure glad I ordered during the tiny window the koala game was available.
-
Great review!
(have the guys reach a conclusion? may I offer a suggestion? get a second one! :) )
-
One quick question... the window under the awning, is it the same as this one (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-24-3370)? I appears to be, but I can't quite tell.

The photo where "JayBee" dives into the box... well, that was an accident, he slipped off my hand and landed just like that... so I HAD to use it! ;D

I also have the Corner Store... I like them both... I'm building up on my "Main Street" collection :)

Ohhh... so that why! I thought it was a little odd, those random open spaces. Thanks BB! Now I'm going to dig thru my 15 thousand boxes of spare, odds/ends PM... I'm sure I have a few of those walls with the built-in shelves.

I guess I forgot to mention it during the review... there were two boxes of 6220 in the big box. :))

You are correct, it's the same window as the one used on the Corner Store.
I have a 4410 arriving in the mail any day now... just the building, which is fine, because I already have all the "bakery" items.
-
Ok, thanks! I need lots of these for a project, so this gives me hope I will continue to be able to get them from DS.
-
Thanks for the funny yet helpful review, EmGee! They both look quite happy with their new building. :)

Great review of these sets! Your avatars are very humorous!

EmGee:Wow! Sounds like a close call! Glad Jay Bee did not break his wee plastic neck in the dive! Maybe that is why they send such huge boxes stuffed full of air bags...to cushion the fall.
Good luck plowing through your 15,000 boxes of PM parts...sounds like you'll need something serious to drink before you reach box number 12 or so! Since you must live in FL, for starters I recommend Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice out of Winter Haven. Yummy.
Can't wait to see your boutique shops once they are up and running, Pgal

A very sweet review :)

Thanks for the advice P-Gal... I've never tried that brand before. We refuse to drink OJ that's not locally produced. I mean, it's silly that sometimes Florida OJ/Citrus juices are hard to fine here in South Florida.
But, anyway... I made it thru the first 3 crates of parts and gave up... I found TONS of "tall" walls... but only a handful of "short" ones. I guess I'll have to hit DS for some parts. ;)

Great review! Very entertaining and informative.
Looking forward to seeing pictures once the stores are furnished and set up on Main street.

I trully enjoyed it

Nice review! I'll be getting this, but what shop do I put in it... ???

Coyote,
Anyone done a mortuary yet? Maybe a good way to use up some of the many ghost pirates that seem to have moved into PF members homes the past year.
Or how about a Whole Foods Market? That way you could use a bunch of the grocery carts, foods, plants and bottled goods that are in other sets.
Has anyone done a car wash yet? Living in Maine, you must dream of a clean car all winter, which must be at least 8 months of the year up there. When I lived in Fairbanks in the 70's, we used to drive 350 miles each way to Anchorage just to get our cars washed. Of course they would be filthy by the time we got home, but it was nice to see a clean car at least for 5 minutes and know that the grime on it was only 5 minutes and not 6 months old. Then they opened a car wash in Fairbanks, and it became no big deal to have a clean car for a few minutes.
How about a costume shop for Halloween, Valentines Day and other occasions? We surely do have enough characters to stock one of those.
If you are a home improvement kind of guy, a Lowe's or Home Depot could be perfect.
And of course that old time favorite of all of us, a TOY STORE!!!
Or heavens forbid, have you considered opening a Christmas shop? That would be pretty easy with all of the Christmas sets we seem to own.
Time to stop! Enjoy your new stores whatever you decide to sell, Pgal ;D ;D ;D

A costume shop sounds like a great idea! Though I would like to see someone make a mortuary/funeral home- a house with elegant viewing room upstairs and a basement area for the, uh, preparations... grim, but supercool!

A little update: Once I receive a little purchase I made on ebay I will have enough buildings for my boutique shop row...
3 corner stores, 2 stores with awning and (drumroll please....) a Supermarket 3200!!! Yay! It's missing a couple of pieces, but nothing major...
There will be a pattiserie, coffee shop, art gallery, hat shop, flower shop and upscale supermarket... I'm going to be BUSY the next few weeks setting
all this up... Yay! So excited!
-
EmGee,
Sounds lovely! Glad you found a supermarket; that should be a wonderful collection of shops! Check out the new hotel they just introduced on facebook this morning. That could go in the same neighborhood as you boutique shops. Have fun building! Pgal,

Thanks for the tip PGal... I gasped a little when I saw the photos... I want them all! And yes, that hotel would go perfect in my yet-to-be-named resort town... do you know if there are photos of the front of the hotel? I couldn't find them anywhere.

Theres a small view of it on the page in the Prospekt catalog, it looks classic to me. The Prospekt catalog has more diorama and big scenes with details etc so be sure you've downloaded both.
-
This sounds like an exciting project! Can't wait to see!

The Art Gallery and Bakery are all built. The rest are coming along nicely. Since my working space is "ONLY" 6 feet long, I might have to build a second story to accomodate all the shops, since I'm not sure exactly how big the supermarket is. I'm taking a week of work next week... so I should have plenty of time to work on this project some more.... and then a little trip to the FP to check what's new (Fi?ures! Yay!).
-
i cannot wait to see this all finished...and i loved the review of the store!
