I love the gold striping
the figure looks slightly crazed with the white head with blue eyes.

Is that gold or bronze striping? Yes, I love the white head in that black helmet!

It is gold striping (no masking aid required 8-) , just patience).

Hello  MBL

He is excellent, thank you for showing us a bigger picture.  Is there a story behind him him ? does he have a background ? I would be really interested in learning more about him.

Regards  Tim

Actually he is just another product of my imagination. I called him "the black scarab knight of death": the one that takes the knights to the underworld when they die on the battlefield. I was inspired by a scarab (hence the shape of the helmet) and added some more sinister elements to emphasize its character.

Hello  MBL

Thank you for the reply, i really do like the idea of him taking the dead knights to the underworld. He certainly does look sinister and i can see the similarity to the scarab.

i like it that he escorts dead warriors on their way.
they probably feel comfortable knowing that he is around to start them on their journeys,

You might not say that if you saw a real scarab...even cartoon one's are scary!

Yes, I've used an old chrome sword and turned it into a creese-like sword with gold and black painting.

He's amazing! I love how you can just think up ideas and then produce them in Playmo form. 8-) I usually have some kind of reference to follow when working on painted customs. Maybe I should have a try at this 'free-fall' method too. ;)

Those saw my earlier reply to this thread will probably have guessed that I got threads mixed up!  What I menat to say here was how much work mbl had put into his avatar.

It's certainly spooky.
