Tipp:
Write the main/important things (know-how for the train) on a paper or in a text file (computer) to have all at one place.

In my recent layout i used the LGB Jumbo unit BUT also the Playmobil controller which had no problems or whatsover and i didnt need to run any extra cables on my track ( total length of about 45metres i believe )

I recently bought 3 MISB playmobil train engines, these engines run to a max of 14V but since my Jumbo unit can deliver 24 V ( for a few sec i run the 4051 with 24V it goes like a rocket !!!! ) i wonder if i can open it and replace the existing 14V motor with a 24V one .... most certainly this tuning would make thinks a bit of exciting wouldnt you say chaps/ chapettes  ???  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi George,

if you are able to find a similar motor regarding size and axis and if you are skilled enough to mount the worm gear on the new axis than it could work.
But I am not sure if the plastic counterpart of the worm gear likes the bigger forces for a longer period.

Regards
schluss

Thanks Schluss once again !!! I am going to a model shop soon that specialise in G scale trains etc ( the distributor of Maerklin in Greece ) and will find out what i can do . I am sure there will be a way to have a 24 V unit in the playmo train so even if not possible i wont lose my sleep over it . will update when i have some news  :)
