The die comes with the set. There are no rules or even an interpretation of what all the symbols are supposed to mean. I like that; kids can make up their own meanings to play! The eyes are closed until you turn one of the branches. You place the die in the top of the tree, & when the branch is turned the eyes open & the die falls out of the mouth. Releasing the branch causes the eyes to snap back into place.
