So far you could see my medieval creations at the Gardenwargaming-forum. Right now I started a new subtheme and I want to show those figures here. The approach is purist as I use only original parts and stickers and absolutely no (original) printing. I want to create a look similar to the Klickys of my childhood withour too much detail but using all the colors and parts that are around today.
-
Very nice clickies! I especially like the peasants!
-
Wow, very nice!
-
A really interesting idea, and gorgeous klickys, especially the first ones :)
-
Great figures!
-
You're certainly achieving your aim with those customs. Playmobil take note!
-
Nice job those klickies do look good simple but, colourful and good use of parts. Like the man with the goose (poor goose) well posed though
-
Those are wonderful!
-
Best way to thank you for your kind words is to post the next bunch, ins't it?
-
Great idea and lovely figures! Thanks for sharing them here.
Those stickers are amazingly good condition- are they originals too, or do you sometimes print new ones?
-
Wow. :wow:
Those are even better, I think! :o
 I might have to copy a couple ;)
What a great idea!
-
The second three sets are superb, too. I especially like the figure in the middle of the first of that, he looks like a rich merchant who trades with Muscovy.
-
What? A set of knights I'm actually interested in buying? Didnt think that was possible anymore. Well played. Well played, indeed.
-
Oh more very nice clickies, I really like the fat peasant clicky.
-
@GrahamB: original stickers from my childhood. Must have been very careful....in fact I played with my pirates most of the time.
-
They look so beautiful. They have the charm of the old clickies and the great accessories of the new ones!
-
More great ones, especially the first batch of this series. Love the guy in the brown hat
-
Very nice figures!! I love them all!! Thanks for the sharing.
George. :)
-
...........
-
Especially the grey guy on the second and the blacksmith :)
-
These are wonderful, why doesn't geobra do stuff like this for regular sets?
Colours, accessories all work well together.
-
...........
-
You got a pic of them altogether?
-
More great combinations! Having the right parts (hats, jackets, shoulder pieces, etc) and a great eye makes for some fantastic creations. The short red jacket with red puffy sleeves in that last picture would not look out of place in a modern klicky too!
-
Just found my replay gone astray- mein Kommentar hatte sich verlaufen... :-[:
Klasse. Du stellst drei Figuren hin, und der Kopf weiß, welche Szene er drumherumdenken darf. Ganz großes Kino. :)
Just brillant - three Klickys and my phantasy knows which scene Tod add.

All quite superb!
-
.............
-
Oh my! They're all brilliant!!
Now if those were sold at the Special Sale, my finances would be in trouble :)
-
The musicians are great! Love them  Definitely need to do something like that soon.
-
If only PM was really like this....these are far superior to many current sets.
-
............
-
The brown one in the first pic is amazing! And that last guy in red+brown is gorgeous :)
-
Many great clickies, I have to agree with Tahra on those two for sure. :)
-
Please go get a job at geobra...pleaseeeeeeee
The current gimmicky design team needs replacing
Perhaps a USA inspire coup ?
-
What I specifically love about your customs is the fact that they are brightly coloured but they don't have printing (on half of their bodies) etc. The colours go great together too.
If only PM was really like this....these are far superior to many current sets.
Agreed!

The last one with the basket =

So so so nice to see all these great classic custom klickies. They all look spectacular and remind me of the golden era of playmobil !!! :)
-
Great looking series. The middle ones in this last batch look like they stepped out of a Shakespeare play.
-
............
-
You are a hero.
-
The arms of the woman in the last pic, what set has them?
-
............
-
All of these look fantastic! :)
-
Great Work, I love the classic look you have got with these customs. Make me feel like a kid again

That last pikeman is great (except THAT hair! :P )

I wish they'd bring back that hat on the left, the count's hat too.
-
What a great series, especially for those of us here in the states who do not have access to all of the older pieces in Europe. My favorites are the peasants, especially the farmer with the very unhappy duck.

That Joan of Arc lady with the short black hair is very cool!

Awesome classic custom klickies. A real good trobute to the originals !!! BRAVO !!!!!

A few more:
-
Love the first one in blue
-
The simplicity continues to make for some great customs. ;)
-
At first I wanted to make all knights in chrome but only these two came up.

Oh many nice new clickies, I really like how you used that new pirate hat for the guard with the horn in the last picture! Good idea to use it there. :)

Gorgeous klickys as always :)

Very nice - especially the first guy on the last pic

Perfection.

my favourite is the guy in blue shirt and second is the guy with the cross-bow!
btw Ralf, I never knew there was a beige 'judoka' belt(on the blue shirt I mentioned), which ancient set did he come from?
-
I really like the one in the blue shirt too

The prehistorical special, I think..

The prehistorical special, I think..
if I remember correctly, the box art of that special somehow showed a belt which was more 'frayed' which is correct for prehistoric period

I don't think so. The more "frayed" belts are a lot more recent, I think. Maybe with the stone age?
-
tahra is right in everything she posted.
-
Wow, these customs are just perfect. Such great combinations of colours!
-
I just found this awesome thread. I am almost in tears... imagining myself nearly 40 years ago, playing in my parents' house, setting up a medieval village in my bedroom... Unbelievable! Your work is brilliant. And it's all there, Playmobil could look like this even today! If these were on sale, I'd take them all, each set two or three times!
-
The Goose's Goose is cooked! Somehow the picture of the fat bloke with a knife in one hand and a goose in the other is slightly unsettling - but probably because it's so casually life like! Good work 8-)
-
............
-
Nice! I particularly like the crossbowman on the left.
-
The double collar on the first picture right is quite nice, and tricky to do
-
Amazing customs !!!

............
-
What a colorful bunch! :)
-
Fantastic klicky's for a medieval village!

I'm really enjoying this topic! The imaginative customs just keep on coming!
I think the armies of the Middle Ages would have been made up of men wearing all sorts of different costumes, armour etc.

Hello, please PM if you are interested for some of these amazing klickies to migrate to the world of Krull ;)

Hoodies are not a modern invention.

Gorgeous makeovers. You are obviously neither short of imagination nor scared of colours.

All these great medieval klickies, would be quite something to see a pic with all of them together I dare say !!!

Nice! 8-)
Besides 17th/18th century, I´m also very busy with the late Medieval era, 14th-15th century.
A lot of your customs are very, very near to the ones I do, I guess we are sailing in the same waters. ;)
Main difference is I usually go with (some) printing on my klickies and only do a limited amount of customs without prints.
-
.............
-
Your customs are great as always, specialist! Putting the scalloped hood over armour is a nice touch, love how it looks.

I REALLY like that last one in green!

Did you cut the neckpiece of "reiter18"? Or the beard fits with it? I have a few of those neckpieces in line for surgery, as I don't like them because of that bit in front of the face..
-
@tahra: the beard fits perfectly with that neckpiece!

I could spend hours gazing upon the parade on display on your shelves, it's glorious with all the mounted knights holding flags!

In a perfect world specialist would be chief designer for PM.

In a perfect world specialist would be chief designer for PM.
In an imperfect world, we can still rely on him for an endless source of inspiration!
-
Being inspired is way better than just going to a shop buying a readymade set of figures!!! So be creative and share your customs!!!
By the way: me as a designer.....they would have to sell their printing machines.....
-
By the way: me as a designer.....they would have to sell their printing machines.....
Why? What do you mean? ???
-
I think specialist means his creations do not rely upon fancy printing to achieve variety and interest. Just imagination, inspiration and patience. And brilliance!
-
Ah I see! Well in that case...his terms are acceptable!

Hi Basie, it's this type of hat:
https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/textsearch.pl?sortby=description&page=1&text=hat%5C%2C+tall+bowler%5C%2C+turned+up+on+one+side&lang=en&pics=on
You can click the pictures to see the sets in which they appear (but I assume you know Playmodb ;) ).

It can be difficult to mix gold and silver armour pieces, but you managed to do it nicely with that one. <*)
-
Nice work as always :)9
I also recently discovered the medieval potential of the yellow castaway's cap (seen in MA_BLAU-2202), so am busy hunting that one :lens:
Happy New Year!

My favorite is the brown guy in P1180933.JPG (:o what a surprise :P )
The legs on the guy on the right in P1180935.JPG are painted, right?
-
The colours are great, but I too wonder whether some parts have been painted. :)
-
PAINT!? :o
NEVER!!! ;)
Not in this thread. All parts are original. Printing has been removed from quite a lot of the figures but they are as pure as they can be, which is the concept of this theme.
The legs in question come from a cowboy.
Best wishes
specialist

The legs in question come from a cowboy.
Ah, yes... :-[ I remember now. Not that common, I think...
Thank you ;)
-
Those are definitely some rare parts then! You always find so many great colours. :D

What kind of hat is that knight wearing....the big yellow thing? Is that a chef's hat ???
