Our first run of the day and they’re off. Sir Alexander has made a nice solid hit to Lord Etir’s shield. Lord Etir has slid his lance over the top of Sir Alexander’s shield and managed to hit his arm.
Two points for Lord Etir and one for Sir Alexander

Lord Etir tries to slide over Sir Alecander’s shield a second time but Sir Alexander manages to keep his shield up and allows only a one point shield hit. Lord Etir also does well keeping his shield up and Sir Alexander gains a point as well.
That won’t be enough today, with the shield hit Lord Etir has gained 3 points and earned himself a spot in the Finals to be held tomorrow.
He’s had a steady tournament though it looked at the beginning like he might not make it out of Group Rounds. He will make a fine opponent for the winner of our next match.
Back after this…

Welcome back, we’re going to go to our correspondent Arty who had a chance to day to speak to a few of the locals about the effects the Tournament has had in Marketon.

Thanks Vanidel, I’m here with Executioner Larry. Tell us Larry, have you seen any increase in business with the Jousting Tournament in town?
It’s been a wee bit busier than usual Arty. Of course I’m not the only executioner in town these days, there’s been a real influx of new faces of late. Splits things up a bit, but I’m not losing my head over it of course.
Yes, of course

How has the tournament been looking for you Father?
Oh, tis horrible when that sinful Krull Ale comes to town. Why sales of our local brew drops for weeks
We do love to see the jousters pay us a visit of course. They drink everything within sights and all.

Hello Madam, how has the business in pots been for you lately?
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/4/sq-2.jpg)
Oh why it had been terribly slow the whole tournament until yesterday. What with Sir Barry losing and everyone being so upset why there’s been quite the rush today of people getting replacement pots. I believe there was a bit of breakage last evening. Such a terrible thing but quite good for business really. There aren’t any more locals left in the tournament though so I expect things will be back to normal from here.

Hello Miss, how has the flower business been this tournament?
Oh it’s been wonderful, what with that lovely JustFred being such a lover of flowers and that new de Fleury gentleman why he’s quite captured the ladies notice he has and they all want to send flowers and of course then their gentlemen admirers like have to send flowers to catch the ladies attention back but of course half the time they just throw the flowers at that lovely JustFred who’s quite the appreciator of flowers you know the ladies I mean not the gentlemen not that there aren’t a few of who do as well but of course…
Yes, I see –
The Nobility though oh you must see the sorts of things they get up to with flowers why it quite takes my breath away it does with all those poseys and buckets and little frufifi thingys and the big vahses they send to their favorites not their wifes of course you know the other kind of favorites and of course when it comes to kind there’s that lovely JustFred who’s just the nicest flower loving gentlemen and with always a kind word to say even about some of those ladies you know the type who become favorites if you know what I mean and..
Yes, yes, um
Back to you Vanidel!

Thank you Arty.
Always good to hear local business is going well.
The contestants for the second match of the Semi-Finals are coming out on the field now.
-
We have Arngeir the Viking of Krull, the big surprise of the tourney.
I certainly didn’t expect to see him here in the Semis when we first introduced the groups. His skill level is much higher than a typical unknown.
-
Indeed, and here is our other competitor Sir Lawrence of Cashtown
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/4/2/mj-br4-2-2.jpg)
He’s really been a second big surprise this tournament. He was dead last at the Winterhaven joust earlier this year and here he is in the semi-finals. Clearly he’s been putting a lot of work in over the months.
Yes I expect so. Coming in last like that can be a real incentive to some fellows to put their all into the next event.

Our first run of the match looks about as solid as any in the tournament so far. A square on shield hit for both competitors ties things right off at 1 point each
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/4/2/mj-br4-2-4.jpg)
Oh, I say, what a clever shield twist Sir Lawrence used there. I’m sure the Viking thought he had that second shield point but Sir Lawrence has quite taken it away with that move. He scored against the Viking as well making the score Sir Lawrence 2 and Angeir the Viking 1
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/4/2/mj-br4-2-5.jpg)
Verily! Look at that! Sir Lawrence has unhorsed Angeir the Viking!
What a time to do it. The Viking is going to be deeply disappointed by this, getting so close to the Finals and missing out.
He got off to a rocky start but all that hard work has paid off, Sir Lawrence of Cashtown is going on to the Finals against Lord Etir Sayest.
We’ll see you all tomorrow for the Marketon Jousting Tournament Finals!
-
I must agree a very unexpected performace from Sir lawrence. Or maybe his performance in Winterhaven were just a fluke.
Also a heartfelt congrtulations for Lord Etir!!!
Good luck to both and I am sure it will be an exciting match.
-
What an exciting turn out!! Lord Etir is going to the finals!!! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
-
Congratulations to Lord Etir and Sir Lawrence on their marvellous performance, and the best of Marketon luck to both of them in the final!
What a tournament it's been, months of preparation, planning and training, competitiors travelling around the world to compete, it hardly seems possible we're coming close to the end. The smell of the crowd, the roar of the greasepaint, the.... flowers!
-
A very exciting round once again! Shame Arngeir didn't make it to the final but that's the beaty of this tournament! Look forward to an exciting final!!
-
That Sir Lawrence is truly a dark horse! ::) I didn't know he had it in him to get this far. The excitement is building . . .
Joe
-
Congrats to Lord Etir and Sir Lawrence. I don't mind losing to a finalist! Go Lord Etir!
-
I can't get over Fleury's failure.
But now, it's Rutileo! Go Rutileo, go!
-
Sir Alexander, I praise you for your skill in getting this far. :yup:
I hope one day we shall meet again,
and you might prove you are a supreme jouster, as I know. :hatoff:
I eagerly await our match Sir Lawrence. May the best man win.
