Title: 5423 Climbers with mountain animals
Post by: sunflower on January 08, 2014, 14:07:18
I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself these days. I started 2014 with a serious hernia. I decided I really deserved a new Playmobil-set. I choose this set because of the mountain animals I wanted to have.

I'll show you some pictures of it.

Start with the box which is high.

Putting it together was quite easy. One of the big rocks is loose so it falls down easily. My son suggested to buy an ambulance for climbers accidents, that are waiting to happen. I guess I can't refuse...

This is the set put together (I added two trees)

And here some more details.

I love the chamois. It is such a cute and beautiful figure. He is very detailed.
The marmots are nice too. The little one is very small. I think he looks a bit like a weasel.

And the Capricorn is a sovereign animal, standing on top of the world.

To everyones surprises suddenly a beautiful parade came down the mountains.

I am so in love with the brown cow and calf. When I was a child visiting Austria I dreamed of having a cow like that one day.

It looks like a great set, so many little details. I like that nest under the stones. (though I worry for those clickies when they meet that capricorn at the top of the mountain. He doesnt look like he'll share his spot...

Hope your back will feel better soon.  :)

Me too!

Love the animals, especially the cows.   Can't wait for them to be offered here in the States.  Thanks so much for the great pictures.

those are very beautiful sets, they will be here in the US so soon now  :D

Hope you feel better about yourself very soon, perhaps the cows will keep you felling better. I know playing with all those smiling faces sure makes me feel good.

Those are some very nice pictures!

I've been trying to not buy those cows for a year now. They're sooo pretty, but I can't really find a use for them with the ornaments.
They seemed a bit expensive for what it was. But maybe I was wrong  :)

I payed 18 euro's for each set. You are right that the set with te mountain has more volume and is more interactive than the cows. But I love the cows too much to let them pass.

I think they would look great in a (medieval) farm without their ornaments.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the review and great pics...

I love those animals too! Already have the cowies  for a while - I think they're great - mostly without the ornaments.

I suppose those arnesses don't fit any female torsos, right?  :hmm:

This is a great looking set. I have the cows already but have held off on this one to have something to look forward to. Most of the animals are available in an add-on except the chamois. The baby is a capricorn/ibex and not a baby chamois it seems.

Hope you feel better soon no doubt this set will be a great pick me up. It looks like a fairly neat little set with plenty going on persoanlly as a walker it's nice to see the walking sticks sure if I ever get the set or even the parts that I'll be able to use that part effectively anyway didn't know the name's of the animals but, was going to say a lot of them do look rather cute, I think the parade with all it's animals and village folk is a lovely fitting addition to the set but, I suspect your son might be right about the ambulance or better yet a nice rescue helicopter might be just the thing  ;) ;D

That's awesome!!  I ordered the Mountain Hut/Chalet, Cable Car, spring with hikers, and cows about two weeks ago from Amazon Germany (sent to US).  The Chalet and Cable Car arrived today!  My son and I had loads of fun putting them together.  Looking forward to the other items to arrive soon.  I love this theme!!

Thank you all. I love the theme too. I really feel like buying the house now...

Tahra, the Climbing harnass does fit the female torso. No problem, it is open on the sides and closes with a very tiny buckle (will hide those for my boys and the vacuumcleaner).

Tiermann, I was also curious about the little one. So the capricorn is hid dad!

I missed this review, so a belated "Thank you" for it.  I'm planning to buy the climbing set, but it's hard to find in the shops in the UK so I'll add it to a DS order.

I found one on sale while I was in Germany so picked it up then. It's a great set! The animals are all new or new variations, and the flowers are mostly new also. The bluebell type flower seems to be a different mold from previous similar ones I've had and the edelweiss is new as well, it has a solid center rather than the hole in the center all the way through like the waterlily has.
