Ah, a light dawns. Yeah at the end of the day I'm not sure if a PF arrangement wouldn't work out as about the same price as ebay. Some of the boxes are fairly large. Thanks for the offer though!

If the set price is about the same as the stores, yes. If the set costs 10 times more than in the stores, it would probably be cheaper, imo. As to the rest, nothing to be done about it, afaik :(

Playmobil.pt is showing the Argo for 50euro, about 60%.
Cheapest current ebay listing for the set is 109$ with 10$ shipping - 120$, about 100euro.
So the question is, is Portuguese shipping to US for a box that size less than 50$?

Doubt it (https://www.ctt.pt/particulares/enviar/para-o-estrangeiro/encomenda-base):

2,01 kg - 3 kg = 50,90
3,01 kg - 4 kg = 59,15
4,01 kg - 5 kg = 67,50
5,01 kg - 6 kg = 75,80

Shipping from here is not cheap, unfortunately.

@Macruran: I suggest you opt for a DHL 10 kg parcel to the US from Germany: lots of space for 54 €, or 20 kg with an equal amount of space for 76 €. That should cover the entire range. Get in touch if you're interested. :hatoff:

Edit: in the run-up to Christmas, playmobil.de offers interesting discounts – every year it is a joy to wait for the right moment to strike. :D I have already purchased the chariot and Odysseus & Polyphemus, but hold off with Mount Olympus and the Argo until discount season. You might want to consider joining the watch. :lens:

Edit2: my offer is obviously open to a wider circle of Playmofriends beyond Macruran. Just get in touch.

And if you (or anyone else) spots a bargain in the pre-Christmas season, let us all know, please!
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Right - fortunately, shipping from Germany is cheap (don't tell them!).... from here.. well. Not. But I can't do anything about that :(

Yes, I might be interested in Olympus, the Hydra (bugs me that same one - if different, that set would have been at the top of the list) and the boat.. ship if at a discount... They have ridiculous prices.

Thank you :)

I'm also interested on cheaper prices, maybe in the pre-Christmas season, hopefully!
Many thanks and greetings to you all!

Shame I have to buy the building just to get Dionysus.  ::) It looks too similar to a princess setup than Olympus. Ah well. But more importantly, WHERE the Hades is Hades?! While I know he's not an Olympian, he's still too major to ignore!

Given the widespread availability of these sets, it's practically guaranteed individual Dionysi will show up in the usual places.

Good point about Hades, they could make some great sets from it, Styx and Charon, Cerberus, Persephone, Hades's throne...come on Gnomes!
