The colours in your pictures are always so vibrant it's a joy looking at them! I can hardly imagine how much time it takes to set up all the flowers which enrich the vignettes.

Good evening dear Friends

I hope that you are all well.

It is with great pleasure that I am heading back to New Regent St with my little Victorians.

I am working at the moment on the transformation of the decor into Autumn that I will share with you through detailed pictures, before celebrating Halloween with Scooby Doo and then transforming the set again for the first snow of winter and of course the Christmas magic.

I invite you to discover the latest tribulations of my little victorians from the picking of fruits and vegetables in Mrs Applepie's garden, making sandwiches, preparing an Italian Feast with Chef Gino, making delicious cookies and other desserts in the Victorian kitchen and finally the very first picture of my new autumnal decor featuring Mrs Applepie and her famous eponymous dessert.

And last but not least, I invite you to discover the first picture of my autumnal decor taken this afternoon and featuring Mrs Applepie and her famous eponymous dessert.

I will invite you to follow the detailed transformation of the set of New Regent St into autumn sharing my tips with you as I will go along.

I wish you a nice evening and a very enjoyable autumn season

Good morning dear Friends

I hope that you are all well

Now that the summer madness is over at the hotel and after a relaxing holiday back in France, here I am back on New Regent St to bring a spell of autumn magic to the set.

Those who followed my creations from the beginning may remember my first attempt at transforming a set into Autumn in November 2009 for a joyous Apple Harvest with already in the background a Sylvanian wind mill and a painting on the Autumn theme.

There were at the time a great variety of materials and accessories available online and in specialised fairs at very affordable prices, such as miniature autumn leaves made out of Polymer Clay and a climbing vine with perfect autumn colours to which I had added grapes for a grape harvest and wine making scene.

Then in the past 10 years, most online specialised shops closed down and China started mass producing cheap miniatures.

Many of my Miniature Artists Friends moved from the online forums to ETSY which has become the reference when it comes to finding and purchasing quality miniatures made by Artisans at a relatively affordable price. Artisans who often walk the extra mile in accepting special commissions from their clients.

After a long online search trying to find the autumn coloured climbing vine in vain, I finally found on ETSY a few days ago an autumn garland with red, orange and red leaves as well as tiny little red berries at the perfect scale for my project

In my search for autumn foliage for the base / soil of my decor, I invite you to discover to smile at two silly mistakes I recently made when I overlooked both the scale and the volume of the leaves when ordering online  :P

Too few leaves maybe ?

I am not quite sure that these super cheap leaves are matching the scale of my project ? What do you think ?

After these few failed attempts and few more online researches, I finally found a website that offers perfect mini leaves to create a blanket of leaves effect and available in three shades in a generous bag of 250 to 300 leaves for £4.89, enough to set up a complete autumnal scene and reusable when the material is put away safely once autumn is over  ;)

Early Autumn ( yellow and green leaves )

Mid Autumn ( yellow leaves )

Late Autumn ( red leaves )

Since I have always loved creating colourful and happy scenes, I will order a mix of mid and late Autumn leaves. From experience the warm red leaves colour enhances beautifully decors with pumpkins, apples and of course Halloween.
