Tim,
I met a man in Minneapolis.  His name is Gordon Smuder.

Hello, Tim ...

Yes, Gordon Smuder has been feeding Playmobil ideas for many years ...

Some of his drawings and ideas are hosted in the GW Gallery which you can access by clicking on the image below.

I agree with everyone who suggested that you share your beautiful off-road dumper with Playmobil.

Our own Playmofriend, Customizer (Andi) can tell you the person to contact in Zirndorf. Just send him a PM or an email.

Thanks for sharing your splendid creation.

All the best,
Richard

I didnt know that you knew Gordon, Richard.

He is a very nice person, and a bit shy.
One of his avocations now is making toy ray guns for sale to those who are interested.

I am glad you have given Gordon his own page.

You have managed to make something as near to a scale model of the real thing as is possible, just by using Playmo parts.

Garry is spot on here.  I saw a book today with a photo on the front of one of these machines in real life and it was just like yours.

Hello  Garry, Richard, Meg, Gordon and Tim

Thank you all very much for your kind words of encouragement and for your feedback. I will certainly look into contacting Andi to see if he can let me know who to contact at Geobra.
Here are some pictures showing how some parts of the vehicle were made, the first picture shows the main peices used and the second is a very basic concept picture of how i imagined everything together.

The first two pictures show the cab before and after the cutting work has been done. You can see from the second picture that a fair bit still has to be taken off the chasis to allow the cab to fit.
The other two pictures show the cab section and the bonnet before painting and after having new peices added. The green stuff on the bonnet is actually moddeling putty which was sculpted on to allow the bonnet to fit flush with the cab. In the second picture you can see the cab has had a new front and a floor added.

Thanks for the extra pics, Tim.  It's nice to see how you approached the custom.  That work with the modelling putty is very neatly done.

Hello Gordon, Richard, Meg

Thank you all again for the kind feedback. I have started taking pictures of how i make things now so hopefully i will be able to use them to demonstrate some modeling techniques.

Kindest Regards  Tim
