marine schooner 3055 / 3740
« on: November 26, 2006, 14:03:10 »
 ???
from time to time i find some images of this schooner with a different crew from the one i have.
in mine, the sailors have grey shirts and white trousers.
apparently there are also some versions with different sailors - the ones in this image.
is this true? can someone help me with this?
thank you.

These are customs.  The top of the body probably comes from the top figure and the legs from one in the bottom picture or the male figure which comes with the 3965 family house. (Pictures from Collectobil.)

I made a similar crew up for a shcooner I had using the legs of the man from 3965 and the top of the Union soldiers.

The hats and ribbons and boat hooks you can buy from DS.

Hello, Cachalote ...

I have attached a scan (from the instructions) that shows the crew that originally came with the schooner.

I have also attached a picture of the schooner just for fun ... :)

All the best,
Richard

thank you richard and playmofire,
i know the grey shirted sailor's set well (i have one).
are you quite sure that these different sailors are customs?
i have a feeling of seeing a schooner with them looking quite original somewhere (i can't remember where).
somehow i associate it with france or with a french site...
maybe my sudden interest in this matter comes form a dream i had that playmobil produced a sailor/marine ship (a big one).
i really wish they would do so, like in the patrick o'brien stories (the aubrey/maturin series, a.k.a. master and commander).

Hello, Cachalote ...

Maybe it was one of MacGayver's custom ships that you saw. Like the Unicorn ...

The Unicorn (La Licorne) has been "captured" some time ago and sails under a different flag now  :toot: :arrr:
She has been in drydock and some small alterations (especially to the front mast) have been made. Maybe some pics will appear when she's back in port after a trial period at high sea  ;)

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

Cachalote,

I'm pretty sure Playmofire and Richard are right that the grey uniformed klickies are the original ones.
I have just bought (this weekend) a schooner and I'm looking for some parts and the grey sailors are the first on my list.
Hadoque, i have seen the Unicorn when it was still owned by it's creator, but we all would like to see it here again.
