Thanks for posting those Richard!

It makes me want the micro sets even more. I am already planning on customizing some of the pirate ships to match my larger fleet. ;)

So , one ship, one island, four cannon and four pairs of pirates... Two of these sets should be plenty to start working on a micro pirate game. And to add more would be awesome - DS will be getting a huge (well, a tiny ;)) order from me as soon as those parts are available in the US.

And the little dragon is just too cool for words!

I think the knights and castle will be popular for the same reason.

I suppose you can extend the castle by buying more than one set.  Will micro add-ons appear in the DS catalogue I wonder?

Some time ago I saw a small castle which judging from the pics in this thread might be about mircroset size in a toyshop.  You could arrange it in all sorts of different ways from what I could make out.  On Saturday we were in the town where the toyshop was so I thought I'd check it out and get more details, but unfortunatel the shop had closed and moved elsewere.

You never know Rob. If these first sets sell well, then they may make others. It's all about making money, so if we buy LOTS of the micros, they will have incentive to do different ones - I would love a micro Viking longship! :D

 :omg:

suddenly everything is SO clear...

Those guys at Playmobil are so thoughtful and soo clever... :)

Aren't we all upset about those clumpsy and huge pieces of
plastic junk on the new castle? While the dragon castle is kind
of flexible (beside the main gate :( ) the kings castle is just a
nightmare...

But look at the MicroSet! They just did it, to let the kings castle
go micro...
 :P

I love those sets... they will go nicely along my little blue boxes...
 :)9

best regards,
socrates

They are scheduled for the end of April (or Mai in the Netherlands).
What do you think - will it be a hit?

I think so....

They're pretty cute, and I think the price-point is ok.

Judging from the reaction on this forum, as well as that of my kids :D I think they will be BIG hits!

Heck, with just us guys/gals, they've probably already got a half-dozen sold;)

I hope that Playmobil sees how popular they are and continue the Micro line.  Micro Romans, Micro Hospital, Micro Zoo.. etc. etc.   It would be great.

I would also love to see more of the Fairy Tale story board sets.  Sleeping Beauty, The little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood and so forth.

I can see I am in the minority here, but I confess I just am not really jazzed by the microsets. I don't really see the point. Though I do like the regular size children they come with so I guess I will be placing a ds order for those! I do like the fairytale sets, though.

I see rather a lot of potential there:
kids with their toys
as for the knights/ pirates - they could be used by 'generals' to plan battles/ campaigns

And they are much easier to place on top of my PC at the office then a full blown castle  ;D

I like the idea of having Playmo Kids play with the micro playmobil toys
I think the tiny red dragon is wonderful
I can see myself buying perhaps 5 or 6 of each micro set, and at least 1 of each fairy tale story book
