Hello All :)
I have recently been going through my collection re-taking pictures of past custom's for Playmofriends. Most of these have revolved around my Playmobil fire service but taking a break from that for now here are my Ghost Pirates. Some of you may have seen these before but there have been a couple of new additions to the crew since then. They are all made from the old glow in the dark ghost and make a very sinister sight in the darkness of my room at night. If all goes to plan i will take them outside this evening and hopefully if the pictures come out i will show you them glowing.
Kindest Regards Tim

Here are a couple of close up shots of two crew members.

This is Blake the captain. He is named after a similar type of character in John Carpenters film The Fog which inspired me to make my ghost pirates.

I hadn't seen these before! :D
They are very spooky-looking! I like the way each one has quite an individual look due to their different coloured clothing and varied accessories.
I'd really like to see some night-time shots of the ghostly crew too. I hope the glow shows up on the pics. 8-)
Thanks for posting these, Tim. :)

Really cool! :)

Hello All :)
... my Ghost Pirates ... make a very sinister sight in the darkness of my room at night.
Tim, I'm not sure that I could sleep with your "Ghost Pirates" in MY room at night ... :o
(Do you keep both eyes closed? Or, do keep one eye open, just in case?) ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)
Thanks for sharing and Cap'n Henry better watch out for YOUR pirates ... :arrr:

Thise customs are very cool, but I am not sure I would want them in my bedroom, at night.
Thanks for sharing.
I hope you will share future photos of these guys and their exploits.

Wow, these are scary ... and a complete army of them. Don't want to mess up with them ... :hmm: maybe it's time for a Ghost Busters customization ... anybody thought or realized this before?

BTW somehow reminds me on the motion picture "The Fog" ...

Hello Sylvia, Corkscrew, Richard, Meg, Little Jo
Thank you very much for the kind feedback. I will certainly try and get a picture of them glowing. It is quite a strange effect in the dark because they only glow in places where there is no paint such as the rips in the clothing. Because of this the rest of the body takes the form of a dark shape.
Richard. I certainly do have to keep on eye open at night but not just for the Ghost Pirates. I have a few more ghostly klickies in my collection one of which is very sinister, however the one who scares me the most is the Nightmare Man (my avatar).
Little Jo. John Carpenters film The Fog inspired me to create the Ghost Pirates to a certain extent. There is a particular scene at the end of the film where Blake's crew are all standing together in the fog which my Ghost Pirates are based on. I do have a still picture of the scene in question but i think it is a little to scary to post.
Kindest Regards Tim

Now, you cannot say this and then not post it :D Please post it ;) You could write a written warning first.
Very nice pirates :)

NO! ... :no: Please don't post it! ... :o We all scare too easily ... 8}
Even a "written warning" wouldn't be enough for me ... :omg:
Tim, I was going to suggest that you send Kristian a PM with the picture, but then he might just post it! ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)
Have mercy! Think of the children ... 0)

  I really dont know what to do :). I dont think it is to scary for adults but we have a small gathering of children now and i don't want to give them nightmares. So the best option is for me to PM Kristian and send him the picture :)9.

Tim - these are very cool! I also have been working on some undead pirates - skeletons, ghosts and zombies - lately, but your approach is totally different to mine (I am not using paint at all, just parts swapping, with one klicky actually getting hacked up a little...). I love the way they all go together, yet are each individuals with personality!
Way to go! :)9

Tim
Thanks for your PM and photos.
But they were not spooky :hmm: All you can see is a human-looking creature and a lot of white fog. ;)
However, due to the fact that Richard... erhh... the kids are so easily frightended, I choose not to post the pictures... :yup:
