This weekend I’ve made my first diorama ;D
I combined the sets I’ve collected for my son: the beach set, the playground set and the camping set to create a bigger holiday scene.
I really like the result

Very nice.

Nice diorama! Looks very kinetic. Hope to see more from you soon.

Thank you!!!

Beautiful work - love how you made the "ground", matching that base from the starter set, or whatever they call them. Looks great!
Nice work with the lifeguard too... Safety first!
And I guess the football players moved to the glass dome? ;)

Thank you. The ground is made of the cheap coloured paper we usually do crafts with. Luckily it was a good match.
The soccer players are indeed the clickies I use for my family. Of course we had to be in the diorama ;)

That's great! I especially like the simplicity of the ground layer with just three colours. Often, PM diorama creators aim for realistic terrain, using sand, rocks, twigs, etc. But the toys themselves are simplified 'abstractions' of the real world, so the non-PM scenery can be simple too. That's given me real food for thought, thanks Eplay!

Exactly!
I am guilty of the "sand" - my beach dio used sand. But you are essentially right. Like over complex paint jobs (with rust and what not) sometimes seem quite out of place with the klickys very basic primary colors...

Excellent work!

Thank you so much for your comments.
I really like how it turned out with just the 3 colours too. But it was more a “this is what I have available” than a “I have thought and hard about it” kinda thing.
I think it also depends on the type of diorama. With a city diorama I really like it when there are nice roads etc.

Lots going on at your beach- it's great! Loved the connection between the PM bases and your landscape; really brings it all together.
Even the trees remind me of a favourite beach holiday!

Thank you ;D

Super! Feels like summer again.

Thanks ;D

Only seeing this now (I also little kids so you may forgive me ;D), but I still wanted to respond because it's sooo cute
I agree the paper you used works really well with the bright colours of the different sets and figures. And the 'cameo' with your family, heehee :D
Hope to see more from you soon!

Thank you Birdie. The enchanted Forrest is one of my favorite dioramas.
For now there will only be some small displays. It’s difficult with the kids as I don’t want to make a room off limits.

I love it, and second this take:
