I really like how tightly your old city is built. It all fits together in interesting ways.

Report & Review / Re: Playmobil 71604 50th Anniversary Knight
« Last post by Pynedor on April 13, 2024, 13:43:29 »
Thank you for the review! I look forward to getting some of these. :D

The new metallic colours are certainly more durable than the older plated items (and even the later items that had metallic paints applied on top of silver or gold parts). However, the shine is definitely not the same. ;)

It's the first jousting knight they have done in years.

I suspect it's also going to be their last, ever :(

I certainly hope that is not the case!

Mystery Figures Series / Re: Series 25 - 71455 and 71456

Great pictures and information, as always, Tiermann! :)

The Valkyrie figure parts were my most wanted ones from this series. The cape is a great piece to have in the light green colour!

That looks like a very useful tool for research. Thanks for the review! :)

This is a great figure!

I managed to acquire a few of the torso pieces several weeks ago, but, unfortunately, I couldn't get any of the arm pieces. The printing on both the front and back of the torso is excellent though. :)

How-To / Re: Disassembling 2CV, 70640
« Last post by GrahamB on April 13, 2024, 08:52:50 »
No, I didn't sand it, neither did I use a primer, so perhaps the paint will peel in a few years time!  :(

Sadly, I didn't take pictures of the disassembly process Riccardo. I used a fairly fast-drying spray paint, so smudging was not an issue. I did use masking tape to cover some areas, like the door handles and name panels on the rear lid, which was very fiddly, but worked well.

According to Wikipedia their information is out of date, that stadium is no longer the Playmobil Stadium as it was sold to another owner and renamed in 2010 :sherlock:
