The new metallic colours are certainly more durable than the older plated items (and even the later items that had metallic paints applied on top of silver or gold parts). However, the shine is definitely not the same.

I managed to acquire a few of the torso pieces several weeks ago, but, unfortunately, I couldn't get any of the arm pieces. The printing on both the front and back of the torso is excellent though.

Sadly, I didn't take pictures of the disassembly process Riccardo. I used a fairly fast-drying spray paint, so smudging was not an issue. I did use masking tape to cover some areas, like the door handles and name panels on the rear lid, which was very fiddly, but worked well.
