Hi,
I'm trying to order some DS stuff from playmobil.DE site and I get the below message. I tried to reduce the quantity but no luck. Then I removed everything from the shopping cart and pick a random item from the PLUS and still get the same message... It is as if DE site is not able to accept orders? any ideas?
This is going on through the weekend and now Monday...

I have had the same problem yesterday and this morning with a parts order off of the German site. I have tried to pay with both PayPal and Google Pay and neither has worked. Glad to know I am not the only one and it is indeed a system error on their part.

I also tried the GR site and it presented the same issue, so it seems this is a wider PM ordering problem

I'm happy to find this topic! Something similar occurred to me on Saturday! Some parts were in my basket and all of a sudden, they were not possible anymore to order, while other parts, which were not possible to order at first, were possible to order all of a sudden 8} . Very strange... I hope this will be fixed soon!

I think it has to do with the IP used. I tried in GR store from VPN with NL IP and I got this message. Afterwards I tried with a GR IP and ordering went fine!
So it seems we need to use a German IP to order from the German site !!!!!!! :hmm:

Problem seems to be fixed. I was able to finally complete my order using PayPal like normal without any extra hoop jumping. I did make sure to not allow my browser to translate the site. I have noticed in the past problems with sites where they dont recognize data submissions from auto translated pages.

I wonder sometimes if Germany just doesn't like handling non-German orders. I travel to France and it is remarkable how many French companies from large retail clothing stores to small artisanal food businesses are set up to ship worldwide, and actively solicit this activity upon inquiry. Two weeks ago I was standing in a small, family-owned business in Arles buying something to take back in my suitcase. The owner said to me, "We have a web site! We can ship anything to you!" Even crazier, some of the businesses ship FREE worldwide above a €50 threshold. It's insane to think a company as well established and as large as PM is cannot do the same... what it tells me is they DON'T want to do it.

Fixed it for you

This is now reflected in their annual report, they are making a loss. They got what they wanted.

How’s the shipping fees to the US

True. But they treat non-german customers as several degrees of garbage.

International shipping is really high. Playmobil.de doesn't ship international, you have to have it shipped to a German address and then get it reshipped. I do buy sets off of Amazon.de and have them shipped to me in the US which they will do for most Playmobil. For regular sets shipping is still high but the discounts compared to buying full price from Playmobil US make it just slightly more expensive than list price. Since some sets never make it here it's worth it to me for core interests like animal sets for Animobil.

Thanks for the clarification, I was wondering if the German DS started a new international shipping policy and would have been very surprised.
Yea Amazon is quite nice asset for getting non US sets
