Monsieur Firmin and Miss Periwinkle brought a little Springtime to New Regent St yesterday afternoon with the addition of the very first flower beds
In order to do so, I had been expecting a material with a light green lawn effect in replacement of another one sent by mistake in a deep emerald green shade which was not realistic enough to my taste.
90% of the accessories used on this project are coming from my previous 2 dioramas and I praise the quality and the longevity of the 1/12th scale accessories which when stored away from humidity and heat remain as good as new, even after a few years.
As for every leisure activity, a diorama project requires a realistic budget to be respected - as there will be many temptations along the way - in order for the project to remain a enjoyable labour of love
I thank my Friend Patoche for his excellent advice with regards to the outside pavement of the pedestrian alley suggesting another material than the bricks effect used for the façade of the buildings and the ancients cobble street pavements effect outside the shops and the lime stone pavement effect outside the restaurant / tearoom create a nice contrast
