Title: Nominees for the coolest medieval klicky
Post by: Giorginetto on March 08, 2011, 18:28:43
Well , after the popularity of the playmo dude voting content ( Jazzman won !!!! ) i thought to create another vote about the coolest mediaval klicky , not a warrior and not a magician !!!! So original klickies only , mediaval theme, not army/weapon ones or magic !!! My nominee is 3330 the mediaval joker !!!!!!

lets hear about other nominees and then a vote will be established !!!! with pictures also !!!!!

I would nominate this fellow from set #3375 (photo courtesy of collectobil.com  :))

This is certainly a great idea!

I nominate the same jester as Giornetto - that's one of my favorite klickies of all times.

If the same klicky can't be nominated twice then I nominate the lady with the water carrier - i need to find the set # though

Well, the scribe Bogor bases his avatar on came to mind first, but then I saw this figure in one of Panos's posts, so I put that one forward:

Seeing as your Jazz man did so well in the other contest I am surprised you did not pick a musician such as 3567. This is a very plain Klicky but just look how his music tames the beast  ;) and it seems to have a soothing effect on the dog and bear as well

A squire is hardly a warrior,
Besides, I picked him for the actual klicky.
If you take away the sword in the picture then he is a simple civilian. 0)

As you probably already know, Playmobil has re-used many of their very old set numbers for newer sets.   Putting an "x" at the end of the older set number is the way that Heather deals with the recycled set numbers so that she can include both the old and the new sets on Playmodb.   :)

Thanks, I didn't know that!  thought the use a new number for the re-used sets, unless they only changes the box ilustration.

Here's an interesting exercise:  go to Collectobil and look at the "Items by Number" list in the Catalogue (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/cat_all.htm).  Scroll down slowly and look for cases of double, or even triple(!) set numbers - it's very educational!   8}

And, of course, Collectobil doesn't even include all of the recycled set numbers since it hasn't been updated for a while.

What about Snow White from 4211? She is very pretty, but perhaps not medieval?
Of course my avatar, 4984, is my favorite medieval klicky

Ok here is my nomination. How cool is a medieval man who has a trained bird. Just look at his color combinations. His glove even matches his attire. That cool blue color displaying his softer side and his hunting abilities showing his masculinity. What is sexier than a guy at the door with a slab of fresh meat for the BBQ. He is kind to his animals. Look at the dogs and you can see how attentive and well behaved they are, and kids like him too.

I can't decide which I want to enter  :-[
George has already chosen the jester, which is my all time favourite klicky and Indianna and Rasputin chose my next favourites, so I thought I would choose this one - the shepherd from 3412 because  I always use him with my medieval displays, however in PlaymoDB he comes under farm so don't know if he will count ???

So, my next choice is this one - probably my most expensive klicky  :-[

and I'm adding this one as Junior's entry as he's too engrossed in his new Pokemon game to post it himself! (teenagers!  ::) )

Hope it's Ok to post more than one  :crossed:

Well I picked him for the "klicky",
He is not wearing any armor,
so if you took him out of the setting
then he could just be a regular peasant. ;)
