Will you? There are 48 bags in one carton. too bad
I only want several of them.
-
I don't want a whole carton because I really don't want the doubles, but I also don't want to pay 5 bucks a pop for them either. Lets hope they make it into some stores and they're easy to distinguish just buy feeling the bag.

Are you guys allowed to touch the bags in the shops before paying?
I am told in the Toysrus in HK, buyers could not touch the bags feeling what is inside and no refund or exchange is possible.

I guess it will depend upon the store.
The lego ones like this that Playmobil copied from you can touch here. I don't know about returns, though. I never bothered to buy the lego ones as they were very overpriced in my opinion.
-
those are 5 what? dollars? pounds? euros? they seem expensive for just one figure. A Special is about 3 something dollars.
-
there is a "$" in front so I took it as US dollars.
The unidentified bags are $3 and a identified bag is $5, a steep id-ing fee
-
why do they call them that? ("mini figures") - They're the same size as the rest of the PM figures...I thought they were "surprise figures" :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:
-
oh ok thank you Ras.... I didn't know where the website was from... lots of currency has $ as a symbol ;D
I wonder if the open the bag to know what's inside or if just for touching them they add $2 to the price? :P
@luis.... yeah minifigures was the name of the L&%· series... playmo's are suprise bags I should think
-
@luis.... yeah minifigures was the name of the L&%· series... playmo's are suprise bags I should think
i saw those horrible L minifigures bags the other day...L figures are so freaking horrible, they're all yellow (not sure if they look sick or related to the Simpsons) and so squared :loco:  :loco:
-
What do they mean with "that can be collected, assembled, and interchanged. Each Figure comes unassembled in its mystery pack, so children can put them together, or interchange its parts to create a new character. "
I assume it means they copied lego's description. I'd hardly consider playmobil meant to be "assembled and interchanged", unless the design is different.
(Also, I really hate the assumption CHILDREN will get them, but that's a pet peeve of mine)
I want them all. And several of the Cavewoman! (this is NOT helping my restraint)
-
I believe the design is different for easier (dis)assembly? But the figures are all so different I don't see much point in swapping the parts unless you want some really goofy looking figures.
-
The design is different on these. The connection where the neck piece attaches to the legs is shaped so that it's easier to pull them apart, and they come disassembled in the bag, apparently. They're supposed to be much easier to take apart and put back together.
I love the cave woman, too!

:o
I say make that neck STANDARD!
I hope there's a way to change their parts with the "common figures". That may have sounded strange.. but you know what I mean :)
-
Yes, from the pics I've seen, it looks like it will be compatible with the regular figures, too.
-

But over time with the release of new series's there should become enough variation to swap parts in a sensical* manner. L#@* is up to what, series 10?
*I do not think this is a real word
-
Wooooohooooo!
So glad to hear about these because they should be so much better than L's!!!
I really miss the easily interchangeable parts of L minifigs and want to change my PM people so badly!
First set of L's cost $2USD. in the L store when they first appeared and $3. at TRU. Then they increased in price to $3. at L store and $4. at some other stores. They are awfully small for that price. On Bricklink some them sell for $5-10. due to shortages and high popularity. Now they make so many that after the first two sets, they are not as expensive.
I would feel very comfortable paying $3. for PM clickies that come apart easily. Maybe even $4. if they are as cool as they look.
This is great news because I am sick and tired of having to buy clickies off eBay for exorbitant prices. They should not cost more than 3-5USD....unless they are super rare.
And my houses require a lot of clickies because I do not collect knights, vikings, firemen, race care drivers, Roman soldiers, Victorians, circus performers, farmers, zookeepers, the monkey family, or big fish. Yet!
Cheerio, Pgal
-
Yes, I'd be willing to pay $4 or $5 for these klickys unwrapped so I can know what I'm getting. There are a few I really don't want, and rather than get those repeatedly trying to get the ones I want, I'd rather pay more and know what I'm getting.
@Ras:  I know nonsensical is a word; so sensical works for me, whether it's a real word or not. :P

Now you're going to see lots of figures for sale in the future with lots of missing body parts ... :hmm: :wall: :eh?:

There are some neat figures in these packs. I'm sure some of these will make it to the modern war thread. :)
-
Are these supposed to be available world wide? They look so... american.

yep, i think they avaible from end of this week or next week in normal shops.. atm only in funparks!
-
I hope to be in the FL FunPark in a week or so and will look for them. They look wonderful to me!
Cheers, Pgal
-
Wonder if I'll be able to find them here. When I was little (and dinosaurs roamed the Earth) there were a BUNCH of places to buy playmobil in.. Now.... well, there's Toys R Us and El Corte Ingles.. and MAYBE another store. None of them exactly HANDY to go to. The Others take them >:(
Will look about next week... WANT!
-
OK. That cavewoman is just awesome, like the whole stone age series IMO. (Saber teeth tigers! Merlin's beard! Ain't that the best ever featured animal for a zoo????)
I think there may be a code number on the bags that tells which clicky's in it. If I can lay hands on a full carton, I'll buy it, though I only want the Knights, guitar player and the wrestling/Rocky Balboa figures.
Who's up for a special trading post for these if they turn out hard to find? (or if you really cannot tell what's inside a bag by touching, though I reckon the knights will be easy to "feel through" because of the helmets/batwings).
Let's call these "surprise bags clickies" and not mini-figs, too L-ish. ;D
Best,
Arnaud
Edit: I almost forgot, thanks Heronimus for the link! :-[

I believe there will be plenty trading, yes.. I THINK I'd like on eof each, and multiples of others..
Some "surprise baggies" - was it Lego's? - are pumped full of air, so you can't tell what's inside. Hope that is not the case. Also, I'm afraid there'll be underpacked figures, which will make them rare, and expensive. I'd like to get my hands on a full box too - well, one of each. (Restraint, where are you??)
LOVE the stone age series too

ahh - for some reason I always thought she wa in Brazil :P :-[ :-[ :-[

Brazil?!
-
Well... Brazilians too speak Portugese.
-
Tahra,
Glad they got your country straightened out! I love the sound of Portuguese, but only know about 4 words because they force Espanol down your throat in Texas where I grew up. That was a great idea where I lived in the town of Pecos, which was 70% Mexican. (And yes, I do love Mexicans...they built 95% of our house in NC, and we worship the ground they walk upon they did such a great job.)
I like the idea of creating a trading thread for these folks...whatever you want to call them. If the manufacturers want to make it difficult for us to collect the ones we want, then we have to develop a smart approach using all the artillery we can muster. And yeah, we do got a lot of arms from what I can see....enough armies to slay more than a few mean dragons from the looks of the photos on this forum!
Having someone develop a barcode chart to who is who is the first step. Folks did this for the L collectables, and could use the iPhone app in the store to get the ones they wanted. Then L charged back removing the individuals barcodes in later rounds.
So then buyers had to start buying all of them and trading/selling the ones they did not want. You can find many of these on bricklink at reasonable prices. EBay ones are usually expensive. So let's figure out how to do our own trades without ripping everyone off.
Count me in, Pgal
PS: Gonna rummage through the FL FunPark soon and see what I find in the store. Will report back as soon as I do.
-
Well, since they are all the same price it can just be straightforward, even trades, one complete, opened surprise figure for another. Unless we later find out that they aren't producing them in even quantities, making some rarer than others... but hopefully that's not the case. Maybe once these are available, we can just start a thread where you can post which ones you have that you don't want, and what you are looking for, and then others can answer if they'd like to trade with you. I suppose it might get confusing if there's a lot of activity in the thread, but i doubt it will be all that busy. If it is, we may have to figure out a different way. But maybe if we had a certain formula, like post what you're looking for in red, what you're willing to trade in blue, so people can see at a glance, and we could have an index of standardized descriptions of each so that there is no confusion as to which klicky we are talking about, especially since there are three that could be described as princesses, a male and a female rock star, etc... there could be miscommunications.
-
Well... Brazilians too speak Portugese.
A lot of people would say that's debatable >:D
On topic..
Well, since they are all the same price it can just be straightforward, even trades, one complete, opened surprise figure for another. Unless we later find out that they aren't producing them in even quantities, making some rarer than others...
Agree. Maybe just start the thread with a post with a pic and "name" for each figure... Then EVERYONE in the thread refers to the same klicky by that name, so there are no confusions.
And I seriously doubt there'll be different barcodes in the packages. That's moronic, assuming they're supposed to be a surprise... But then again, if Lego did it... Gods, don't they think? You could just do a list on a piece of paper and check ::) I'm not saying that wouldn't be good for us, that'd be great. Just think it's unlikely. You know, the "learn from other people's mistakes, you won't live long enough to make them all yourself" thing...
-
I know I am a late entry in this topic ... but am I the only one in thinking that the girly klickies are much better then the boy bags ???
But I want one of each anyway ;D.
To be honest, I had hoped they would have been on the shelf by now :-[ Slightly disappointed by that.
Can't wait!

I think I must have them all...but since you mention it, the women are much more detailed and exciting!
-
From the German forum I got the news they should be released within the coming days. They're already available at the German Funpark I believe...
Btw, can't the thread title be renamed "surprise figures" or "surprise klickies"?
They aren't "minifigures" at all like the L*** ones! :hmm:
-
I am just looking at ebay and there are already some used ones listed!

You guys really like the surprise bags. Yes....maybe someone can open a thread about exchanging, or organizing group order if we have different taste. The evil L___ minifigures came in different quantity in a box. There might be less those more popular ones. BTW...do you guys think the gimmick of interchangeable parts fail flat? Since I doubt the helmet of the football player would look good on a knight. :hmm:
-

not to a kid. You should see the cross-dressing my kids perform on the klickies 8}
A normal knight would die of embarrassment :-[

Really? I think I want more of the boy figures than girl ones! Some of them are really cool.

It's been discussed... this is probably only the first series of these figures, and as more and more series come out, the interchangeable parts may make more sense.
Yes, as soon as the hit the shelves, we need an exchanging thread!
-
... Some of them are really cool. ...
yes ... some do. Some is the key word here ...
But that's just me
Bogro
-
Just went and looked again, and really, there's 4 girl figures I don't want and 4 boy figures I don't want, so I guess I like them about the same after all.

Maybe we have already done a lot through DS and it becomes nothing to us......talking about the interchangeable parts.
I love giving them different helmets....or crest...cloaks...
I love playmobil

yes ... some do. Some is the key word here ...

How can we get rid of those unwanted?? :-\
Those is the key word here :P

Helmets and such are not the interchangeable parts, me thinks. That means the klicky - head/arms/torso/legs...
-
So you can have a princess with a black eye and arm greaves. :P
-
Yes the body parts are all disassembled so you could do whatever you want in mixing. There will be some interesting things come up I bet. Fortunately I talked to my local shop about them. the regional Playmo rep hadn't mentioned the figures to him at all, or provided any literature. He called them up and ordered some and just squeezed in under a deadline.
-
Lucky you ... I still have to find the first trace of them in the shops here :(

-
And they're on the newsletter/site:
microsite at playmobil.de (http://download.playmobil.com/FunAction/Microsites/Figures/DE/index.php)
There's also PDFs of both blue and pink series...
-
After looking through the PDFs I think these are normal figures just disambled. So you can use the parts for all your klickies. ;D
-
Right, they're only slightly altered so that they come apart more easily. There was a pic in another thread somewhere that showed it. But it looks like it will still be perfectly compatible with regular klicky parts.

Link to an online collectible klicky builder:

One could not say that it makes much sense but it seems that's how it is meant to be.

thanks for the link - that section of the website is such a great idea to give you an idea of the endless customizing possibilities you'll get even before they come out! :D 8-)
besides it's so fun and fast!
btw if you choose the cave woman's torso you'll hear the baby make funny noises!
-
    I was gonna post exactly that Luis! the baby farts!
-
btw, my favourite figure is Zorro's head & hat with the mermaid's body and Uncle Sam's trousers... ;D
-
 That thing is oddly fun to play with for some reason! I haven't done it with the computer unmuted, though, I'll have to try that!
-
The sound the baby makes is funny. But the lady with the pink hair makes a funny sound too!
-
Hi Friends,
Mr. Playmo from klickywelt.de have a very nice idea to combinate the legs from the stone age woman with the
normal skirt.
The woman looks more higher !!
I use the witch with the legs from the stone age woman, but they click not inside its to short.
ENJOY !!!

Yeah. The world was really waiting for a tracksuit-wearing zorro with bated breath. I can understand collecting the individual figures just for kicks, but as far as customisation goes (the whole point of this series), this must be one of the worst PM ideas ever.
-
I think this is probably just the first series of figures, though. As more and more series come out, there will be more realistic customizing possibilities.
-

Could be. Then again, the way that PM seems to be suffering from ADD in recent years (themes and ideas appearing one year and disappearing the next), it's hard to tell. Either way, I think they could have done a better job with this one. They could have - for example - stuck to only one or two themes. Eg. 12 different knights for mix-and-match, or 12 different ladies with different dresses and hairstyles. Then, next year, they move on to another theme: I don't know, cowboys (for the boys) and modern living (for the girls). As it is, I can't think of a single decent figure to be made from this motley collection of figures, unless you want to go Dada on your klickies. ::) ::) ::)
(I realise that I'm a big moaner, I know. ;D ;D ;D)

i got mine today whoop whoop me<- happy bunny again! its a great week so far :lol
-
oh wait - are they available now? :o
-
from today.. yes.!
-
Mine are on their way from Germany...a box of girls and a box of boys.
So I'll check out the barcodes and let you all know if they're different...unless someone else beats me to it.
Also I will let you know if it's 4 of each figure....I certainly hope it is...else I could have 48 the same D'oh!
Claire

no luck with the codes.. an there not 4 of each in a box.. i was working throgh 7 boxes today.. 4 new and only found 5 uncle sams etc..

from today.. yes.!
but only in Germany, no? i don't see them on the US website yet - i thought it was going to be a worldwide release? I'm confused!! ??? :hissyfit:

Anyway, it's not on the german website either, so maybe it's only in stores? ???

That is bad news for us in the US. Unless TRU stocks them..... :-\

Other mom and pops may sell them online, at least. But that doesn't help with being able to feel and get what you want. ::) We really may need to set up a trading post for them.

maybe its different in the US, just write a mail to the DS and ask
-
My local toyshop called me when he ordered these. Looks like they will be in local toyshops. I was under the impression that there would be four of each klicky in a box. The fact Mike had five uncle sams is disheartening. I ordered a box of each and hope I get four of each. On a side note, the toyshop owner told me that the Playmobil sales rep for the southeast left Playmobil. Don't know if that's good or bad.

I don't know. If it is, the US would get these. Mike doesn't live in the US. I still like all these klickies. Hopefully this is the beginning of more series. We need some pirates too!

Yes....I did change some of them. But not the printing that looks very dragonland. So I really like the comeback of the current yellow and green knight theme :P

We really may need to set up a trading post for them.
yes! :yippee:
-
FYI: These new "surprise" Clickies were not in the FL FunPark store when we were there 4 hours ago. The clerks there have not seen them yet and do not know when they will arrive. I hope they show up soon!
Cheers, Pgal
-
If it is indeed a "simultaneous" worldwide release, there may nevertheless be some weeks difference with the release in Germany.
Here in Belgium (and also Netherlands, Luxembourg and maybe Denmark), we don't have to wait a year for German releases (these countries are also considered "home-market" by Geobra).
But there usually is a 1-month delay (certainly on the local official websites), though some shops release new sets a bit earlier if they already have stock.
So, if the suprise bags are to be officially available "worldwide at the same time", they should show up in stores outside Germany in a few weeks time.
-
yes! :yippee:
yes.. thats a great idea. just a post only for those

Bugger ... that means I'll have to check the toyshops each day ;)
And resist buying anything else :-[
I am not very good in resisting that ... :-[
Bogro
-
when i remeber correctly there are shops who selling theose bags online.. boxwise.. 80 euros a box or so.. i look later if i can find the link again
-
How about the link that started this thread? :toot:
-
Sorry for the double post. Interestingly, if you look at the description of the case of 48 here http://www.toywiz.com/playmobil10538.html it says it's four each of the twleve figures. So if four different people want one of each, they could go in together on buying a boy case and a girl case. it would be about $65 for each person.
-
I asked about the quantity per case when we were in Germany and Playmobil staff said there were 'about 4' of each, so there isn't a strict packaging rule they are meeting. I would think there will be some of each in every case but the quantities may vary. I didn't get the impression that they are limiting any one figure at all though, so there shouldn't end up being any one that starts out with fewer available overall. Obviously demand for some will be higher than others, so in the longer term resale prices on the more popular ones will slide up a bit more.
-
From what I read on KW, it seems Customiser has broken the code on the packages. The only trick is that one figure may have up to 5 different code numbers. I'll get back to you tonight.
A.
-
no, i wrote a long time ago that 3-4 figures have the same code in a box.. bla bla .. there is no code. the guys are going with a scale into the shop and weighting them.. hahahhahaah. i bet soon the stores will forbidd that and put them near the till and look what people are doing
-
There are three to rour of each figure in a box. :hmm:
-
they're now on ebay! well, some of them
-
Some news I've read on KW:
*when you put a head from one of the surpise-figures on a regular klicky with a regular inner-frame, the head sits quite loose because of it's different neck-design.
* when pulling a wig (hairpiece) off from a surprise-figure to put another wig on, sometimes the head comes off as well.
* occasionally a surprise-figure's head suddenly pops off and the klicky falls apart.
-
they're now on ebay! well, some of them
I bought the pizza-baker 2 days ago on e(vil)bay... :P
Could have gotten a few others as well...but to be honest... I wasn't interested in them :omg:
-
just seen them too on ebay UK.. 8}

My boxes of surprise bags arrived today and I have started a new thread with a decode for anyone who doesn't want the surprise!
I can also confirm that each box had 4 of each figure inside.

On my way to see it!

beside from trading.........what about a thread about selling and requesting the KNOWN klickies??

As predicted, El Corte Ingles employees had no idea what I was talking about.

As my ever-practical mum pointed out - what is to stop you picking up a few bags putting them in a basket or trolley then walking round the store feeling them/weighing them/checking the codes when you are away from the till? ;D

Ummm.... why didn't any of us think of that? A very good suggestion!

I know! She's definitely coming on my 'suprise bag figures identifying mission' (once I find a store stocking them) because I have a feeling she'd be quite useful in identifying as well! ;)

WOOHOOOO!!!
If they want to engage in modern warfare, we have a scale used in our business that is so sensitive that we can weigh almost anything. (The US govt investigates whoever buys this scale to make sure they are not selling drugs or really dangerous stuff...nope, we don't!!!)
I'll just buy the little &^%%#%^**ers and weigh them at home returning the ones I don't like! Can even open one of each weight to create a list for others. No problemo! We have played this game enough with L to feel like veterans!
Cheers, Pgal
