1920 fire truck
« on: February 21, 2006, 21:39:26 »

This fire truck was made from the front of vintage car 5620, and the back end is from the vintage truck 5640.  The bell is from an L.G.B. train.  The fire truck body is made of plywood and brass.  The frame was cut and stretched a bit to accept the fire truck body.

Wow, that's excellent, James.  It deserves a kudos, and you've got one.

Fabulous conversion, James! :wow:

I think Richard made a comment in another topic recently about the possibilities of making different types of vehicles using parts from the Victorian truck (.... or maybe it was the Oldtimer).
It's great to see a photo of what you have created through a clever combination of the two vehicles. 8-)

Thanks for sharing it with us. :)9

That really is Beautiful, what a fantastic display piece, yet again it shows that Playmobil is more than just a toy when in the hands of great customizers.

Welcome to playmofriends James.

Wow - another fantastic truck custom! Very nicely done.

This year my son got a Christmas ornament of an old fire truck and it looks very similar to yours!

When I saw the colour I though, "Same red as San Francisco FD."
