My contact on klickywelt, Stefan, who is a volunteer firefighter tells me that so far as he knows the blue panel is just design.

Apparently so, but maybe it does help make the vehicle stand out more from the side.

Whoa, now we got a good Scania candidate :o!

This looks even a better match then the Atego 1528:

The Scania is a better match for the cabin and the rear is VERY similar, so I guess the #4820 is a Scania 94G TL .
Thanks buddy!  ;)

You're not going to be able to pick one over the other definitively because Playmobil's design team will use more than one vehicle for legal reasons.

Very probably, but so far the Scania looks the most similar to the PM TL.

But shifting to something smaller, some time ago (IIRC) there was a photo posted here of a beemer police bike that was spot on the newest PM police bike. Does any one have that pic?
Cheers!

And speaking of bikes...

There are a few other bikes that look a lot like the #4426, but at least in my eyes this KTM could be the real one.
Cheers!

It would be nice to see civilian versions of the station wagon (police/ambulance) and police car.

Our police station wagon has never been used as such but is often used as a family car.
