Well I have been waiting for a set like this for 15 years . I am retired from small scale logging and have used many machines from the industry. This is quite a welcome addition to our playmo fleet and I will be getting quite a few of them.
The packaging is Add-On style

A few bags inside of the big bag

Not a painful amount of assembly, tires are the most annoying in this set

I really like these softer type of tire, they feel real and squishy . This sets hub caps also have a great industrial look

The set went together quickly and easily . Not too many stickers . Seeing as this is a off road machine I chose to not put on the license plate, would have preferred an instrument cluster decal instead

Never liked the installation design of these smaller hub caps , they seem to get lost easily
(http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc457/Koretsky/9FDB8DE2-A291-42F0-981C-397E4A94CA8C_zpswpwtasnm.jpeg) (http://s1212.photobucket.com/user/Koretsky/media/9FDB8DE2-A291-42F0-981C-397E4A94CA8C_zpswpwtasnm.jpeg.html)

But then they look so nice and industrial installed

All put together

Oops, forgot an important aspect, the loader
It’s great and have always wanted this piece. Gordon one salvaged one from a different brand but I refuse non- playmo so I held my breath for years

Not too fond of the spring system, it’s an S shaped piece of plastic and it seems stiff to use . Perhaps a bit of silicone will help

I like the cab rotation feature so the operator can see what he is doing , the articulating grapple is great and very realistic. Only issue is the tension on the boom arms seems weak

The grapple seems to only want to grab one log at a time, commercially you grab as many as possible, time is money

The cab has a great range of articulation from the trailer for rough terrain extractions

The scale is a bit small , but most vehicles are in the playmo universe

Overall a great set, good features, nice design, a decent value and I’ll be getting about 5 more ( did anybody expect less)
Good job Geobra, about time ... I can stop holding my breath for this one
-
Forgot to include a picture of the real one. Here is a Cat 564 forwarder (brings the logs from the forest to highway trucks, trains, rivers, lakes etc...), brings the logs forward
The real one has the cab protection bars from brush, trees etc... and a blade to push logs dirt etc...
The playmo version could have had the blade but the protection bars would not allow for cab rotation. The real one has a rotating seat in the cab.

Also wanted to point out how it’s nice to see Geobra paying close attention to details. It’s a pet peeve of mine when tires are mounted backwards . The traction bars go in a specific direction on equipment . They included red lines to show how to mount the tires correctly

She almost fits properly on a flat bed train car. Will have to dig out a low boy truck and see how she fits on it .

The proper way to get this machine to and from the job sites

Thanks! Great review! I love it too. I got mine in set 6813 (https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=6813), which includes the operator. Unfortunately, the most recent forest series was not available in the Americas, so, getting those sets was not easy.
...Only issue is the tension on the boom arms seems weak...
At the beginning, I thought that problem was just for set 9115 Timber Truck (https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=9115) due to usual Chinese quality issues but I see both sets 6538 and 6813 also have it

Nice review of a nice set! Good to see the 'real world' equivalent vehicle too. Thanks.

Agree!
(especially for those who knew nothing about it :-[ )
