Good progress being made and nice to see care and attention to the detail so all is level.

Is that a space for a fire hydrant at the right hand rear of the platform?

No, that is a hole for a railway signal.

Ah, yes, of course, I recognise it now.  I never realised how perfectly it can be made to fit in with the platform pieces.  Great thinking.

Henk and Ben started right away with their good intentions. Of the items from Germany a waiting shelter has been put together, and some accessories for the platform. There is now a clock, a sign with arrival and departure times and a box with road salt. Now the Netherlands has mild winters, but you never know. The waiting shelter has got new windows and a bench. The windows are made of old CD boxes. The new stop has been given the name Neustad, which reminds me of Neustad an der Saale, where I saw once the last trains on holiday to Bischofsheim an der Rhön. Unfortunately, this is nowadays a cycle path.

Great looking little station. Great name, until you get a new station. Then does it become Alt Neustadt?  ;D

A very workmanlike and neat upgrade of the old station parts.

Tim raises an interesting point.  Another alternative would be Neu Neustadt.

Looks like a 1960s or 1970s girls' group.  Jolly good.
