These are lovely sets, thanks for sharing!

Is the picture frame in the Rembrant set a new colour? I don't think I've seen it in the wood.

I'd be interested in how these are designed. Do the museum just contact them and say 'We'd like a Van Gogh' and then the design team at Playmobil come back with a design to be approved?

Thanks for the heads-up! Luckily Van Gogh turned out to be a standard klicky.

Rembrandt's not bad, but Van Gogh really overshadows him – he's a must have.

Want! I have a soft spot for Van Gogh. But I should probably wait because it's 2020 and my computer just died.  :-\

I saw some images of the figures (without boxes) on FB a few weeks ago, and thought they were customs... :wall:
Meanwhile I ordered some sets a few days ago, shipping-cost is pretty steep to ship to a ... neighbouring country.

I think they could have done a bit better job with Rembrandt.
Probably the mould for the old black "Patricier"-hat from the 80s is not avaible anymore? They then could have used instead one of the hats-types from the "Black Pete"-figures, with or without a feather.
As he is now, he does resemble a few of his (many) selfportraits, but I think with the hat Geobra chose he looks rather 19th-century and too 'modern'. They could also have gone with a different wig to give him a more 17th-century look. And maybe a different collar. And he lacks shoulder-pads or a cloak or something... Just too 'plain' like he is now, imho.

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

Hey speaking of shipping costs I'm planning to get mine in the new year, if any YANKEES want to double up let me know.
