Here they are: Anke and Bert in their small blue car. Today they’re driving to the building lot of their new mansion where the two want to break ground symbolically.

Both were taking photos and helping each other.

Then Bert takes the spade and does it!

After work they are drinking a first bottle of beer under their beautiful tree.

Soon the work will begin!
-
Looking forward to more - I do hope they have more help to build the house! :)
-
-
Very nice, Nora. What a lovely DINKY couple (Double Income, No Kids Yet).
-
Adorable beginning, looking forward to the continuation!
-
Anke and Bert chose a modern house built from prefabricated parts so that their building contractor is able to assemble it in very short time.

Voilà, the ground floor is ready!
Our new house owners again are busy taking photos.

(I made a time-lapse video when I built the house but unfortunately I'm not on Youtube. Perhaps I'll find another possibility to show it to you.)
-
What a house Anke and Bert are building! I bet even Louis XIV wouldn't mind living there at all.

This is what you can afford without kids !!!
Regards, Nora
-
When I looked at the first pictures, I wasn't expecting the beautiful and spacious layout of the mini mansion to come
Looking forward to see what comes next ;)
-
After a short spell of bad weather the construction work continues with the upper floor.

Doesn’t it look nice?

It does look nice and spacious!

Thank you very much
Rebuilding and workshop
Unfortunately there has to be some rebuilding in the ground floor. How nice that you can change a prefabricated house without problems.
In addition Anke and Bert asked the contractor to attach a small workshop to the ground floor for Bert’s tools.
Now the furniture may come!

Unfortunately there has to be some rebuilding in the ground floor. How nice that you can change a prefabricated house without problems.
Oh, if it were that simple, right?
Looking forward to the furniture!
-
Curious for the interior scenes, I always find inspiration in details!
-
This house is getting huger by the second! Really curious as to how it'll turn out.
-
Please be patient, one thing at a time ;)
-
The workshop
First of all Bert completes his workshop to have all tools ready if he has to paint some walls, assemble furniture or drive in a nail.
There is a sink for edging the chisels and other tools...
... racks...
... and a workbench which can be used from both sides.
Really a lot of stuff! It would be the best to sort it in Bert’s room that is next to the workshop.
After hours of clearing away everything has found its place.
And Bert is already repairing a broken picture frame.
-
OK now it's getting really exciting!
-
Wow, that's amazing!
Thank you for sharing!
(loved the band aids!)
-
It's set-ups like this which really bring Playmobil to life, I love how it turned out!
-
I'm so glad you all like it :yippee:
It's quite a lot work but it's also a lot of fun
-
I am loving the workshop
You really thought of every detail and everything at its place !
Karim

Thanks a lot, Karim :)
Gardening work
Friends of Anke and Bert who own a market garden are doing some gardening.
He is carrying the plants...
... while she is preparing seed holes.
But there is a lot more to do. Tendrils have to be cut...
... and planting beds have to be prepared.
Decoration of the entrance!

Regards from Nora
-
So nice of Anke's and Bert's friends to help out! I love all the thought you're putting into this.
-
The nice is coming together nicely
I am so glad that you have your little helpers dear Nora. I do not know what I would do without mine ;)
-
Still a lot to do before Anke and Bert can move in
The electrician is connecting some lamps.
And even though it will take some time until the first pool party there is a cleaning person cleaning the pool.
-
A swimming pool too? Anke and Bert want for nothing!
-
This is excellent
I love how the house is coming together with the electrician and even a swimming pool :cloud9:
-
Dear friends,
I have to pause a short while because my very old mum broke two ribs and is now in hospital :o. I have no time at the moment to go on with the mansion but I will be back soon
Greetings, Nora (commuting between my work, my home, the hospital and my mum's home...)
-
I have to pause a short while because my very old mum broke two ribs and is now in hospital :o. I have no time at the moment to go on with the mansion but I will be back soon
:( I hope your mom makes a complete and speedy recovery!

It saddens me to hear that. Wishing your mother a quick recovery!
-
Good morning dear Nora
I am sorry about your Mum and I hope that she will make a prompt recovery with your love and support.
Please do take your time as we will be here welcoming your wonderful story back at your return
Karim
-
Dear friends,
a big thank you to you all for your wishes for me and my mum :) . She left the hospital at the end of October and since then I am organizing help and care for her. She is still recovering very slowly but last Tuesday we could celebrate her 94th birthday :cheerlead: . So I hope that I could post again here in a few days.
I'll be back :yippee:
Best wishes and again thanks a lot
Nora
-
One couldn't have hoped for better news – I'm ecstatic to hear you were able to celebrate, best wishes to her going forward with her recovery.
See you soon, Nora!
-
So happy to see you back dear Nora
My very best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas !
Karim
-
Great news!! Wish her a happy birthday! :)
-
Dear friends,
again a big THANK YOU to you - in such a situation it is so nice getting warm wishes and regards
And now it's time to see how Anke and Bert are going on with their mansion...
Still living in the guest house
Without kitchen and bathroom even a luxury mansion is uninhabitable, so Anke and Bert still are „living“ in their guest house next to the main building. And even such a tiny house is offering a lot of comfort.
At the entrance there is space for some dishes, too.
The "bathroom":
Not bad, isn't it?
Greetings, Nora
-
You create a particular atmosphere I don't think I've seen in any PM dios ever before.
-
And even such a tiny house is offering a lot of comfort.
So it seems, indeed! What a lovely setup. The camera hanging from the wall adds that bit of "lived-in" feel, if you know what I mean.

Thank you, I take this as a compliment !
So it seems, indeed! What a lovely setup. The camera hanging from the wall adds that bit of "lived-in" feel, if you know what I mean.
I must admit that I'm not as creative as many other members here but from time to time I have an idea to make my pics a bit more lively. Sometimes my dios are a kind of sterile I think but I'm working on it
First the kitchen
At last the kitchen furniture has come so Anke and Bert can arrange their dishes.
Bert takes care of the heavy pots and frying pans...
... Anke puts away glasses, cups and cutlery:
Spoons for cooking, bowls and tablets find their places...
... and now the kitchen looks neat and tidy:
Time for a cold drink:
At the end all boxes and baskets have to be put out:

Greetinge, Nora

Great one, as usual..
The posing is perfect!
-
I'm loving the photos, Nora! Do you have a fancy camera, or do you use a phone? Great sharp focus and lighting!
-
Wonderful photos, great to see them moving in finally
-
I'm loving the photos, Nora! Do you have a fancy camera, or do you use a phone? Great sharp focus and lighting!
Thank you :yippee:! I'm just using my iPhone XR with the Apple Photo App or sometimes the app "Camera+" for close-ups. For the lighting I always try to have indirect light. We have LED-lighting at home and this makes a nice natural atmosphere.

Big shopping
Kitchen furniture and dishes are not enough, the Klicky must eat, too ;-) So Anke made a big shopping with her small blue car:
Bert gives her a hand getting everything inside:
Where should they put it all?
One loads the fridge, the other deals with fruits and vegetables:
Looks nice:

Ready:

:o
That was ALL in the car?!
Maybe I should invite them over to make things fit in the playmoroom... ;D
-
Dear tahra,
this car really is a kind of "bottomless pit" ;) My own car is just the same: No one can imagine how much space it provides until he/she sat in it!
Greetings, Nora

Ah. A pity. My shelves are NOT bottomless pits, I speak from experience. :-[ ::)

First coffee in the new kitchen

I’m just really liking the whole lay out of the new Kitchen.
-
Oh no the slice of cake is going to fall to the floor! :o :0
-
Oh no the slice of cake is going to fall to the floor! :o :0
 Don't worry, the cake is sticky enough not to fall down!!
The bathroom’s ready, too
As our householders were busy with the kitchen the craftsmen installed the bathroom in the adjoining room. So Bert can do the dishes of the afternoon coffee while Anke cleans the sanitary facilities:
There wasn’t much to do in the bathroom so Anke could do a first laundry with the washing machine that now dries in the garden:
Unfortunately the bedroom is still unfurnished and Bert and Anke have to sleep another night in their guesthouse.

That's a lot of windows for a bathroom. :P
I really love the kitchen, it feels very real.

 Don't worry, the cake is sticky enough not to fall down!!
Oh, goody!
Great pics, as always...
That's a lot of windows for a bathroom. :P
I believe that is a must of playmobathrooms ::)
-
Since klickies can't take their clothes off (proper klickies I mean) there's no risk of embarrasment. :)

Point.
Would be messy.. except... well... they don't really USE the bathroom either...

AND: Anke and Bert have no neighbours ;) Except me, but I don't count...

Running a bit behind with the updates, but I really dig the way Anke and Bert are taking possession of the house!

Good morning Nora
I love the house with all its realistic details

Sleeping and living
The bedroom is furnished and Bert and Anke bring their belongings, as ever.

And now?

„From now on we’ll sleep and live here in our new and beautiful house! We can furnish the other rooms gradually but with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom we can use the house very well.“
Congratulations to moving-in!
Greetings from Nora!

:)
Thank you - great pics, as always.. The photos of Bert standing on the chair are amazing. I was kinda afraid he'd fall :o
-
Agree about standing on the chair, great photos for that part!
-
Attention: Most of the fatal accidents happen at home!
Fireman Sam would have a field day with this kind of careless acts! ;)
Great to see Bert and Anke moving in at last.
-
Wow! Bert & Anke have quite the home! I'm having workshop envy & wish my kitchen was as nice! (& as well stocked). They must be relieved to finally have their bedroom finished!
They have a slightly unusual taste in views though, a mountain of files isn't exactly my dream view to see from my bedroom but it takes all sorts! ;)
-
Thank you all for your comments, I am really happy that you like my little Playmo exhibition
They have a slightly unusual taste in views though, a mountain of files isn't exactly my dream view to see from my bedroom but it takes all sorts! ;)
You're right but it is an unusual house so it needs an extraordinary view ;) In fact I tried once to put enlarged photos behind the windows but it was difficult to find a fitting scale. And with that you ruin the facade from the outside... On the other hand I think it's funny to show that my Playmo room also is my living room 8}
Greetings from Nora

Haha, when I was a kid and my Playmobil generally lived in cupboards and bookshelves, they had postcards for 'windows' so they had pretty spectacular views!
I love the pictures when they have all their stuff in boxes, I don't know why I find those so endearing :D
-
Great pictures
-
Oh this is such a gem to discover
I also had a lot of giggles reading this thread
Edit: This reminded me of a photo story I did years ago after I bought that villa and furniture! ;D It's still on the forum apparently: https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=14273.0 (https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=14273.0)

I really enjoyed each picture of Bert and Anke bring in their belongings into their furnished bedroom.
