That's great..
Some of those seem taken right of the box pics! :o
(just not sure about the boy on stilts on the varanda... looks like a darwin award to me >:D )
-
Very nice and great detail, although maybe it's more Belle Epoque which is 1871 to 1914 than just Victorian.
-
Wooooow! Amazing diorama! :o Truly beautiful, congratulations!!! The interiors are lovely!
-
Beautiful diorama, very detailed and full!
-
Everything's included. Nicely arranged!
-
Very posh! :gent:
-
Those scenes have a great feel to them, well lit and very intimate. :)
You have some great sets in your collection.
I agree with Tahra about the boy on stilts, but back then Kids grew up Tough , as in "what doesn't make you stronger will probably kill you". It does look funny, though, as if he and his sister have been sent out on the balcony to play and he is peeping in through the window to see what they're missing...

What’s a darwin award?

Thanks! To my knowledge, Belle Epoque refers to the same timeframe as Victorian (1860 or mostly 1880-1914), it’s just how it was called in France. So the difference is geographically.

Yes that’s it, just kids having a bit of fun.

The Victorian era is 1837 to 1901, so there is some overlap with the Belle Epoque, but not exact by any means.

Darwin Awards (wikipedia) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin_Awards)
The Darwin Awards are a tongue-in-cheek honor, originating in Usenet newsgroup discussions around 1985. They recognize individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by selecting themselves out of the gene pool via death or sterilization by their own actions.

Such wonderful scenes! Well lit and beautifully arranged. I agree some of the pictures look like the box art from those sets. Adorable!
I especially like the party outside and the magician's show in the attic room.
I'd love to see more like this

Since this was bumped, I looked again, and just noticed the Vampire couple at the party
Great work, and really nice lighting.

Thanks guys for your nice response, glad you like my work!
@Oliver: well spotted :)
I’ve just started building a new diorama, I’ll post pictures as soon as it’s ready.

Wow...just clocked this. Great work matey 8-) Very atmospheric :)
-
Wow impressive Victorian diorama you’v created. I’m loving seeing all the different little scenes built within your Victorian diorama.

I can remember visiting my cousins throughout the summer months as a child and they had the Victorian playmobil house. This wasn’t a theme I was familiar with, but I ended up falling in love with the calming simplicity of what felt like contemporary life. You truly brought back not only these memories- you brought back so much more. These pictures feel (as someone else mentioned) like they come from the box. Who can remember looking at those factory images and just imagining all that was possible? Honestly, can you share some tips for beginners like myself? How did you achieve these results? Anything would be appreciated, from lighting to camera information...
