I like the fact that they made the bee keeper a woman  :)

I'm very happy with these two sets!

Thanks for the pics...

I want those too, but predictably they weren't in stock when I made my order  :hissyfit:

We want to make a male friend for the beekeeper :)

While the deer are great, I must say I really love that bee keeper.  :)

It adds something completely new to the playmobil world and I could see this adding a lot of playvalue as well as something nice for diorama's.

Can count on it that many kids will have their playmobil bears try to steal that honey.

Both must haves for me. The bee keeper is something you need at least three of I think, or at least I do.
The butterflies look the same as the old ones, but they've given them new numbers for some reason. Are they the same or have they changed the plastic or something?

The  beekeeper will be added to my collection as it's a nice little piece of detail in a diorama,

I'm not very keen on that deer set, because it looks to me like an animal equivalent of a school biology textbook: See How We Grow.

The Beehive, though, I really like.  And all the different stickers for the whatever-they-might-be-calleds too!

Beekeeper woman is cool.  And the honey jars.  And one of those tiny green baseplates.  And is that an even smaller than the previous smallest green tree leaf piece too??!!!  I think I'll look that up on Parts.

The problem for me in thinking about buying this set is that in real life I have never seen less than six beehives together.  And to have six (or many more) of them gets a little bit too expensive.  And with too many beekeepers.

Well on the plus side, the bee keeper has a nice neckpiece thats great for medieval. Yellow boots will be harder to put to use though, but she has nice hair too. So at least with many bee keepers, theres some usefull parts there.

What he said  ;D

White plain female torso is VERY nice too :)

Now.. WHY couldn't she have brown boots?!  :P

I'm excited for the new Birch tree... and the bee keeper set is nicer than I had imagined that it would be.

Yup, three is a minimum (at least from what I've seen). I might order a few more.

To me they look exactly the same. The printing is red on one of them, and fuschia pink on the other two. Is that new?

No both colors have been around a long time.

Thanks for pointing this out, Rhalius! I'll put the set on my wish list now: the hive & bees are just splendid, and the figure will be gratefully disassembled.

Thank you for the pictures. Love the beehive!
Little Bambi is also very cute.

Thanks for the reviews! Can't wait to get the beekeeper for sure. Such a great and original set. And I hadn't noticed the tiny baseplate before, how cute!

But, is it me or does the lying down fawn look a little... funny? There's just something a little off about it to me, I can't put my finger on it. It doesn't look all that Playmobil to me. Maybe I will like it better in person.

I had need of a bee keeper set a couple of years ago. I contemplated buying the Calico Critters one, as it had very cute accessories, and I probably would have adapted a klickie with the fencing headgear. Alas, the CC one wasn't available in Canada, discontinued in Europe and all second hand markets were crazy expensive. So I'm glad to finally (well, when it gets released here...) be able to have a bee keeper!

I think it's a very intereresting "slice of life" set!

Hmmm I dunno, I think it looks like Playmobil alright, but because there are no moving parts it might seem a bit off.

That one is still on my wish list. It is adorable

Oh my goodness bees. All my life I've wanted to raise bees. They may be my favorite animal. I'm so excited Playmobil will release a beekeeping set. Like, irrationally excited. Watery eyes excited. How many more months til it's released in the US? I may die waiting.

Thank you for the info on this family set. I look forward to adding many to our dio's for the forests inhabitants.

We raised bees so the bee set in particular interests us. I was so happy to learn when geobra announced the set. We look forward to adding many bee sets to our growing collection. We really wanted this set when we saw the beautiful work of a  fellow (apologies for forgetting whom) collector who made hives out of upsidown woven baskets. It was brilliantly classic. This set is a must have

Thank you for sharing...

You just explained how I feel about the entire playmobil brand...all of the sets, every one

Thank you for sharing such sentiment ... :wow:

They do both look like great sets like the white birch tree and the fact that you've effectively got all life stages of a deer in one set apart from the mum.

The beekeeper set's also nice the hives and sections of honeycomb look good and they're suitably equipped even got the smoke gun, some flowers for them to pollinate might have made sense  though. We've got some hives of bees at the Botanical Gardens where I volunteer and two of the gardeners have been trained to take care of them so that gives me a good reason to buy this set if it's stocked in any of our toy stores eventually I'm sure it'll be popular with them  :)

Also it strikes me that it's good that they're bringing out this set as it'll help kids to learn about the important role that bees play so the y will hopefully appreciate them more and care about conserving them  :bloom:.
