Title: PMUSA Replacement parts...
Post by: bhellman75 on May 26, 2013, 23:27:33
I can only find a phone number for ordering replacement parts and I want to order a bunch of parts.  Is this a straight forward phone call?  Is there a way to do it online?  I'm shy...  :-[

The best way is to create a spreadsheet or list with the part number, quantity you want, and the item name. Then you email it to service@playmobilusa.com
If you have ordered before and know your customer number include that, as well as your shipping address. A few days later they will send you a .pdf file of the invoice showing what they list as 'in stock' and the prices with a total including the shipping. You then phone them to give charge info to finalize the order. You can also ask items be dropped off the order at that time if they are too expensive. What you actually get may be less than on the invoice - when they go to box the order some items may not still be in stock. They charge you the actual amount after having boxed the order. You get a shipping notice email with tracking when it actually goes out.

I tried emailing them twice in the past few weeks but no reply. I only wanted two parts. I guess I will try to call tomorrow on my day off. How long is the normal wait time?  :hmm:

 It depends, sometimes I get right through and sometimes it is a 15 to 20 minute wait.  Once I get through the experience has been pleasant for the most part.

I usually get an email response back in a couple of days. Phone wait times vary a lot

bhellman75, I hope you don't mind me asking a question in your thread - I was going to start a new thread, but then I realised the title would be pretty much the same as your thread!   I also find the the whole process daunting!

If I just want to order parts of klickies, how do I go about doing this? I've searched the Playmodb as best I can (and wow, I didn't realise how much I used it until it was scaled down! :'() and have not found the info narrowed down to body parts.

For instance, I want to order half a dozen black torsos, and then half a dozen pairs each of long and short sleeved black arms. It doesn't seem worth it to order multiple full klickies with those clothing items, but I've never ordered just part of a klickie. ANy help with where to get part numbers (or if this is possible!) would be appreciated.

Well, would love that as well, Salamander...

(and many others as well, I'm quite sure)

So you can't buy individual body parts then? I guess I thought it was possible because I've seen people on ebay selling them like that!  :'(

Well, a few part numbers are known.. but never tried it... managed hair (through a playmofriend).

I suppose we can pop them and sell the parts. Eventually, I'll get there - there are plenty of parts in the pop tub we are not fond of - so trade or sell seems the way to go.

Yeah, Klicky parts can't be ordered individually. You have to get a whole klicky and pop it.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but about how long does it take to get the items when ordering from DS?

:o

Mine's around 50 parts, so not nearly as big but not tiny either.
