Geobra's new Chinese 'Dao' (broad sword)

this new thread is dedicated to Geobra's development team...
"THANK YOU GEOBRA!!!" :love: :wave: :love: :wave: :love: :wave: :love: :wave:

a bit of interesting history for our playmofriends;

The earliest Dao appeared before 1000 BC and probably most popular around the 1500 AD.
The single-handed Dao blades are moderately curved and single-edged with few inches of the back edge sharpened.
Only modern Dao for performances have tassels.
The Dao's guards are often cupped shape to prevent blood from dripping down to the handle.

Middle-Eastern pirates might have been using the later Scimitar which is a Muslim sabre with a curved blade popular during the Ottoman period. (the one our pirate klikcy has)

So, Tahra, your reference to Sinbad; he could have borrowed his Dao from Chinese pirates friends ;o)
